Ommer, my humble apologies. I was trying to figure out where I did not give credit to you. I finally found it on page 24 or 25. I was trying to say how funny your post was and I must have accidently deleted the "Ommer wrote:" part of the quote when I was editing my reply down.

Again, I apologize for this. I had no intention of doing this. If I could edit posts, I would go back and fix it, but, alas, I have only been on the boards for 2 or 3 months and don't have the edit option yet.

Excellent macro response, Ajon! One that I have used myself isa general variant of"You think slicing is easy, buddy? You think I'm good at cutting the right wire and making everything okay and hunky-dory? Huh? I'll have you know that it's a supreme battle of wills to decide which color to cut!! Red or Blue! Right or Wrong! It's enough to drive someone mad! Mad, I say!! Soturn around, walk away,and come back later when my giggledust high returns, or else I'll sic those pink elephants on you! Viva la France!" followed up with a general salute.

I've used that response in so many ways, altering and adding to it constantly. Add the fact that it's in Rodese and you've got one certifiably insane smuggler guaranteed to drive away a great deal of potential customers with his scary ramblings.

I really think the guy was serious too ... lol. Hopefully by now he has figured out what I did to him. I love feign death ... especially when you do it against someone that has never seen it. the reactions are just hilarious.

I Log into Coronet, and sure enough by the time my screen loads, I've got a line of people wanting slices.

I check the Tells, and say to everyoen "Ok, first come first serve DudeA your up first, then DudeB, etc".

So DudeA wants his new Vibro Knucklers sliced, like any smart person, he has a handfull of them, hoping one turns out great.

So we do the trade, and I start to slice em, Like usual I'm calling out the slices, one of them hits for a 35% damage slice. Another one hits for a 34% speed slice. Both awesome slices. Well right after I call out the slices, this transpires...

DudeA "So, how's the slicing comming?"

Me "Very good, got you a 35% dam, and a 34% speed!, all done with them now trade"

I send him a trade request, and nothing happens, so over the course of the next 2 minutes I send him a few more trade requests..

Me "Hey, you still there? You're slices are done"

A couple more minutes go by, I send him tells, I chat out into spatial, but nothing, so I am thinking, ok, the guy went AFK for some reason, then..

DudeA "So, how long is this gonna take?"

Me "They are done bro, I've been trying to trade with you"

Another minute passes, by this time, the people in line are sending me tells and chatting into spatial asking what is going on, the general consensus is the guy is on crack....

DudeA "So, are you done yet, how the slices turning out?"

Me "Dude, trade, I've been done with them for a good 10 minutes"

So, then the guy starts dueling people....

This goes on for a good 10 more minutes, with half the starport trying to tell him I am doen with his slices. Finally the guy realizes he had put practically everyone near the starport on ignore.......

He tipped me 50k top of the slicing price.

Hehe, I've had a few customers do that to me, where they come up and ask me for slices and how much I charge, blah blah blah. I respond, tell them the price, trade with them slice, and try to give it back to them but there is no response. After a while they start asking me "hey ya done yet?". I've finally come to realize that at some point they put me on ignore, and I have to have a friend send em a tell to let em know whats going on. And never once have they said "Ohhh yeahhhhhhhh, yer that jerk who.....", instead, its always '' I cant imagine why I would have put you on ignore Mr. Smuggler Sir." People are so much more polite when you are holding their property.

I finally encountered a genius that enabled me to post on this wonderful topic:

I am in the Dantooine Mining Outpost in line for a buff. I forgot that I still had my slicer tag up.

GeniusBoy101: Hey, can you slice something for me?

Me: /examine, mastered blah blah, TKA title, several location badges, okay not a pure newbie: Sure, my price is x and I only accept cash.

GB: Acceptable

He comes out and opens a trade window. Since I am not paying attention I don't notice that he puts a pair of broken binoculars in the trade window till I accept.

Me: (knowing how easy it is to grab the wrong thing, especially in laggy Dant) What did you want sliced? You know you traded me binoculars right?

GB: silence

A minute goes by, I repeat my question. Another minute. My turn for buffs come up.

Me: Hello?

I get buffed

Me: Are you there?

GB: oh I was afk

Not afk message or warning about it while I am standing here doing you a service but RL things can happen so I let it pass.

Me: repeat message asking about the binoculars.

GB: Yeah thats what I want sliced.

Me: I can't slice that. I can only slice weapons and armor. This is a worthless piece of junk loot.

GB: oh

GB: I want it back. and my money.

After scrolling through all the spam at Dant I found that he did indeed tip me already. Guess that was my fault for not saying cash meant in trade window.

wow, this thread is more onimous (and many ways more hilarious) than the similar one over on the weaponsmith thread

I neglected to tell him that I got it off the bazaar for 6k and had alsoused it up to half damage but he could have seen that by just looking at it as I sat in it. But hey money is money and I found some otherguy selling swoops for 18k only 1000m south of coronet.

Ahhh.... Zandergeef.... uhhh... You DO know that you can repair bikes for FREE, right?? I've only owned one bike ever.
