San! How's school? Get everything all squared away?

You're right. Nothing's changed. Not really at any rate. We're asking for the same ol' stuff. We've made a smidge of headway by actually enlisting the sympathies of GM but that didn't last very long. We're stuck until post JtL no matter what. I think we've made a millimeter's progress, or at least I'd like to think so. I think they're a bit more aware of us now than they were, because every time something gets pushed back we get apologized to, at least. Which is something. lol!

Hey JTGalpha schools going well. I just finished my AA and transfered to a 4 year university and am working on my computer engineering degree. The best part is I am getting much better finacial aid now so I dont have to work 6 days a week and go to school 5 days anymore.

Im back to get my feet wet before the space expansion. I still have over 3 million credits so I figure I will be able to buy a YT 1300 as soon as I can get enough experience as a pilot.

Really?? What forum have you been reading, I haven't seen anything "surprisingly good" over here in the last 6 mo.. er, ever!

Not to dig against Caylin at all, he's doing a great job, but he's got nothing to work with from the dev side. In the past 6 months we've seen nothing but the same old broken promises, new and exciting.. broken promises, and new, unfulfilled promises that will likely be broken in March when the revamp is pushed to 2017 so the devs can concentrate on making holoemotes and hawtpants more "Star-Wars"ey.

Oh! I'm sorry, I forgot our exciting change coming down the pipe: come patch 10, slicing w/tools from creates may be nerfed. Sweet!!

I think you took that wrong. Understandably. Let me rephrase...

Things are surprisingly good cause the community is working together like never before, we may have fixes on the way, the correspondant summit for the combat balance (which could address some smuggler specific items), and we haven't had any insane set backs or stuff to piss us off (imperial immunity/droids, panic shot, feign death, jawa trash collector, spices, ect) in particular in a good while.

I think our main problem, as it is now, is the mysterious disappearence of GreenMarine. Happened a while back but it's been the most recent thing that seems to be on everyone's minds.

Stuff like "we can't smuggler" and the "same-old-same-old" has always been there and is just a backdrop.

There, that's better

Will all possible due respect to GreenMarine....

Yeah, this really doesn't matter. Why? Because he's not "our" dev. Never has been. He's just a really cool guy that loves the Smuggler profession and wants to see us get some love. However... guess how much weight this REALLY holds with the powers-that-be? Yeah, that'd be pretty much none. They'll tell him what to work on, and he'll do it because it's his job. As I said, from everything I've read, GM is a great guy and I have tons of respect for him, but his hands are tied, I'm sure.

My point is, there's no reason to bother getting upset anymore. I make a few bucks here and there slicing, with the occasional faction transaction, and I still love my Smuggler. I'm not going to devote any more energy to getting upset with the devs. They post to try and placate us, and at this point it's just insulting. I know condescending when I smell it, and the recent (with the notable exception of GM) posts, well, as recent as there have even been, posts regarding the Smuggler profession verily SMACK with "yeah, yeah, Smuggler blah blah, sometime when we get done giving the durni animals better bump mapping".

Whatever.

DEVELOPERS: DON'T OPEN YOUR GODDAMNED MOUTHS ANYMORE. DO SOMETHING, THEN TELL US ABOUT IT. STRAIGHT ANSWERS ARE GOOD. LYING TO YOUR CUSTOMER BASE IS BAD.

*goes to work on Chef/BE alt because, sadly, IT'S MORE FUN THAN SMUGGLER*

How can I say this.

It doesnt seem like people are upbeat as much as beaten into submission.

The devs have lied so much I almost think they're politicians. When I hear that they are doing something other then fixing jedi I'll believe they care about what smugglers want from the game.

Has good and bad, I guess. Nothing in JTL for Smugglers, but then we won't be harassed by tons of people wanting yet one more thing sliced.

"Huh?" lmao are you kidding me? Think of all the business that would be sent our way if we could slice ship parts. I tell ya what if this turns out to be false rumor, send all the people who ask you to slice ship parts my way. I'll give you a cut of the action say .5% for advertising for me.

It was at the Nvidia booth, Lucas Arts told SOE that they were NOT allowed to show JTL.

Why in the world would Lucas tell SOE they were not allowed to show JTL, but let them set up a pc at the nVidia booth?

Can someone plz explain that?
