No longer holding out hope, SWG will never be the game we fought so hard for, that we believed so much in. Farewell friends.

we seem to have to factions here, those who believe in negociations, those who believe negociations have failed and it's time for action.

I really don't want to see our proud community tearing apart on such a critical moment. We ALL are fed up with being lied postponed and so on, and we all agree that the next time it happens devs may need God's help, along with a good surgeon, but we know they know.

We're not going to trust them on their words, but we can let them the opportunity to show their good willing, we have been waiting for complementary documents from GM, we have been waiting for vision docs from TH, we have been asking an issue status lists to Tiggs, let them prove they are willing to go forward, and to go there quickly by giving us such food for mind.

We know we can't ask for the revamp to happen right here right now, we also know we won't let them delay us again, we want action, but we don't want to :

a) alienate the whole player base

b) break the game

c) make us look bad, we're proud and gentlemen or ladies

So if we are to ask for something, that should be these documents, that would be more information, that would be answers for particular questions that we know they got answers (ie NOT asking for the date of the revamp, they obviously don't know).

Is this suggestion something we can agree about and stop being divided?

How many times will I try to turn it into something positive? Its not how many times I take a positive approach, its a state of mind I possess. When we post about something concerning our profession, we need to ask ourselves "Is this a positive post? Will this attract favorable attention to our profession? Will a developer want to read this?"

What is my limit? I have no limits.

Iam not saying to not post strong posts. Just well thought out posts that will attract favorable light to our plight as Smugglers.

Axob hit the nail right on the head!!! An organized orchestra makes music that people will want to hear. Constructive noise.

Look at the wookiees and their quest for armor. Look at the Jedi. The thing they have most importantly in common is that they were not just one small section of a community or a vocal minority, but a large majority of all species, professions, and galaxies. They recieved support across the broad spectrum of players. We as a profession need to strive to garner the support of our fellow players Smuggler and non-Smuggler alike. We need to represent our profession in the best possible light, and not as a a group of angry flame powered renegades.

Look at this thread, look at how many non-Smugglers have posted here. It touched others and went beyond this forum. The more positive we are, the more positive feedback we will recieve. The more positive support we will get. The more likely those who can decide our fate will look in here and take notice.

I do not want to write expensive words with cheap meanings. I have created a new thread, one that talks of more open communication between player and developer no. If I can do even just a little of what this thread has done, imagine what we as a community with the support of other gamers can accomplish.

Silversaber, I am not asking you to forget. I am not asking you to cease strong posting. I am asking that as members of the Smuggler community, we all strive to move forward for the betterment of this thing we love. That what we do here will improve the game for all its players. That we do not let our anger get the better of us.

It has been a long road, and the end seems distant. However, as long as we keep moving forward we will reach our destination.

we acted cool EVERY time they promised things, and we got busted EVERY time, again, I'm all for peace and all, but cmon

being a cool community NEVER paid off since more than a year, almost a year and half.

just browse the answers to all the delay threads, very nice and comprehensive answers every single time, what did we get ? we got to be ignored, neglected, because of our "great community". just face the facts, and see who the devs listen the most, the "cool community" we are is treated like dev's dog, they might think "yea we can tell em whatever we want, they will never cause any mess, we can lie to em numerous time without em saying anything". cmon jedi got double revamp that WAS NOT PLANNED. we got the crate nerf in the meanwhile. those are FACTS, I could quote my messages from the last time we got pushed, I too was a "cool poster", but now, enough is enough, u remember ? 6 months or so ago, they told us

"hey guys sorry we're focusing on jedi now, and we figured out that smuggler will get their true meaning with JTL so we're preparing a GREAT revamp along with JTL, just for you guys blah blah blah" as "revamp" we got

- one mission with NO reward
- one word for a dev "hey meet that other dev, but he's not working on your revamp, just meet him (and shut your mouth for another 6 months)"

we get

- Empty master box
- Spice line useless
- underworld...
- dirty fighting for dabblers, but useless for others (I play entertainer/smuggler, I can NOT go out hunting anything that gives decent loot but meatlumps, unless I want to sit feigning death too many times for it to be fun).

what else we got

- oldest smugglers left the profession
- 0400 that steal our job exploiting
- exploiter not being worried

this is how our dev team thanx the "great community", so I'd rather act like a jerk on boards and get the revamp done, over acting cool and being kicked in the nuts. next month it'll be 1 year that I play master smuggler and that I'm "nice". what else do you want, to play nice and being kicked one more or even two more year(s) ? I don't, I want the revamp to happen period. we deserved it being nice, we didn't get it. so now let's just do like all the others do to get their revamp, make our voices heard.

"This morning, the team made a decision to delay the Smuggler profession revamp to Publish 11." TH

Loot Shop (Painting, CAs etc...) Coronet/junction (860 -4724)
-- Kojirou Sasaki - Emperor's Eye (Black Epsilon Ace)
-- Chieko - Master StyleSmith (Master Tailor)
-- Aki'xianghua - Twilek Thug (Master of the LongPole - Rarities Collector)

Check it out, tell me what you think Yamada.

Is this something that we need?

How could we get this across to other communities and professions to support this?

Would this be better than the piecemeal responses we've gotten before?

Would this make people feel more like a valued member of their respective communites?

My goal was to present a flame free, constructive post with the hope that others would pick up on it and run. That other professions would come back here and take it to their corr.'s. That maybe, if enough good posts in the corr. forums suggested this that the game developers would agree and let us know what is going on,..that we are indeed not forgotten.

Did I succeed? I guess we will find out. \

If I fail, then I will simply try again.

I will be flat out honest and say your a heck of alot better man (I think?) than I am.

Like I have posted,I didntparticipated in that flamefest, and I'll restrain myself from participating in any future ones.

But I will not condemn what happened.

As far as im concerned, the Devs have brought it on themselfs, and they should take resposibility for thier actions with the Smuggler Profession.

Im outa here.

Hi Guys.. so this is my first post, i am new to the game about 2 weeks ago.. typically you all probably think, i straight away want to be a smuggler. well Han is the Man, but i dont want to be a straight clone.

I have read a lot in the forums, and i thought a lot about what i wanted to say regarding smuggling.. I supprised me when i first started out that Sumgglers were so under used and under rated..

I understand from many of the posts that the Devs have been promising a Smuggler Revamp for ages and ages... but this seems to have been pushed further and further back with various things comming online such as JTL. It does seem a little odd however that smugglers are so sidelined, espically as one was SO pivotal in the original films.. I find it difficult to understand that George Lucas (i don't use themasters name lightly) would let this happen.

I appreciate that the Devs have a lot on their plate, but on the other hand it is their job to continually update things.. so i have to wonder exactly what they do in a day.. and following on from this, there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of interaction with the Devs on any level.. i mean we spend literally thousands of combined hours playing this wonderful game.. i would of thought it logical that the Devs want to know precisely what we think, and what we are experiencing.. i realise that this is what the forums are for.. what i mean is on a deeper level, they don't seem to want to engage in any form of meaningful dialogue with any player.. and espically not the Smuggler fraternaty.

Many people have stated that they would like a "ballpark timeframe" regarding the updates.. i find it difficult to understand why this is a problem for the devs.. like any project management.. they have to have this all worked out.. and if they have to put something back at least you would know that they were specifically working on that problem...

And just some thoughts from a newbie on what should be included in the smuggler update (if and when it ever happens)

The Kessel Run.. come on like you have to ask

Sabbak

Fake Ids

Better Slicing, and smuggler specific weapon upgrades

Corrillian Bloodstripe pants!! (if they exist i'm sorry, but i havent seen em)

So in short.. Hi to all the Smugglers out there... it's nice to be here at last.. lets all go break the law
