Hmm... Well that is also true in Serbian-Croatian and Bosnian... well pushka (pronounced pushka but spelled a little differently)is actually rifle in those languagesbut still...

yup, it's an amalgam of many languages, starting with northern Indian languages and moving westward. Of course it all ends up sounding similar in one way or another, since they were all originally the same language. Even the northern Indian ones
