because they ask for NERFS

Poetic, yet they still manage to hog all of the fixes and content as well

Anything else related to Smuggler... oh wait, there is nothing else. Good Day.

I agree with you totally, and that seems like a much more useful topic of conversation than whether or not Jedi get everything they want.

That's a good point Uma....too bad we've pretty much exhausted every single idea, from the absolutely insane to the logical, and gotten nothing out of it from anyone. The Jedi forums complain about another profession's abilities and it gets nerfed within a couple publishes. We ask to SMUGGLE and we can't get that (and it's been 2 years since we've started asking.)

Just because you can't take on 10 people at once doesn't mean Jedi aren't _the_ power profession in the game. There are so many Jedi right now that they NEED to take Jedi down a couple pegs. If they were rare and hard to keep (like they originally lied to us), then they might be really special and powerful.

But you're not special, nor is anyone else that is a Jedi.

A Ranger is special. A CH is special. A Smuggler, a BE, a Dancer, a Musician, a Squad Leader....THOSE people are special. Not you. So please go back to your forum after you've looked up the new slicing info, because you're not going to get any pity about how "weak" Jedi are in this place.

I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

playing with jedi is like eating a fine christmas dinner with your family.
if with your family means in front of 30 convicts.
and easting dinner means getting sodomized by a big ruffian.
Yeah just like dinner

And I will say one last time, no they don't, though perhaps they should. From an economic standpoint it would make sense, since virtually everyone who started playing this game, did so because of a interest in Jedi. How many of you picked up a copy of SWG and said to yourselves, "Awesome! I want to make two useful spices, get to pretend that I'm dead, and learn all the languages without going through all of the trouble of having someone 'teach' them to me. It's going to be super!" Or how about, "I can't wait to spend hours flying around the galaxy looking for concentrations of resources!", Or, "I want to dance my heart out in the cantina with a bunch of AFK noobs just looking for an easy grind....or to dance their way to Jedi....."

That is all, I'm going to play the game now. Couldn't we all be doing something more rewarding with our time?

virtually everyone? no my friend.. more people have left this game than are playing.. more than 4x as many. My guild has dwindled down from 150 active players, some 300+ charcters, to 10 active players and just 45 registered characters (even fewer after the next inactivity purge). MANY left because they felt star wars was more than JUST jedi, and regardless of how they may have thought at one time "I wounder if i'd be lucky enough to unlock"; ALL of them agree that more than 5-10 on a server is too many.

- It's time the devs end the bitter fighting by giving the community a Non Jedi server. We have a few servers with TINY populations that could be changed to this ruleset. I support this idea because it punishes noone. - You can support it too. Click Here!

I hate to even get marginally involved in this kind of thread, but what the hey, in a few weeks I'll fade into obscurity.

I disagree that most of the people that started playing this game did so with the hope of becoming a Jedi. I absolutely refuse to believe this until I see it back up by a study. I'm not talking about a study of the current players, I'm talking about a study of all the players.

Throwing around comments such as this without support for your claims is inappropriate when involved in a debate, even a debate as silly as this one. I see too many people engaging in this practice, and too few people calling them on it.

Whether or not it is true, by the way, has no bearing on my point whatsoever. It may very well be true, but I won't believe it one way or another until I see it supported.

And informal polls will not be sufficient to pacify me. I can do an informal poll right now.

75% of the population has no interest in playing a Jedi character.
25% of the population is only partially interested in playing a Jedi character.
0% of the population will not participate in SWG if they can'tplaya Jedi character.

Facts don't become true just because a lot of people think they are true.
