/signmaking Smuggler a loot-based profession is just........wrong....By the way, how many Krayts did Han have to kill in order to modify the Falcon?Oh, that's right. None.
First he had to grind his way up to CL80 and pick up some rifleman. Once there, he killed 20,472 Krayts and purchased the rest of the parts from the local bazaar terminal. During the slayage, he did crowd control for the ub3r 1337 tanks while the jedi healed. Somewhere during all this he happened to mez a Krayt that was off to one side beating on a poor wookiee. That's how Chewbacca became life-debted to Han.
PS, the pie was delicious and the beer is nice and cold.

I asked that there's no more high end loots ( and I hope, if this proposal works,they won't put high end materials or resources to craft
) to slice weapons or armors. I don't care about who ( Iguess itwon't be smugglers, I'd rather master artisans, or novice AS/WS ) will be able to craft componentswith schematics.
Is it just me, or is SOE performing the same job on the SWG economy that OPEC just did to the USA's??
What I mean by that is:
1. They took away the ability of the AS/WS to create the tools needed to work on armor and weapons.
2. Removed the purpose behind the specialized tool that a smuggler would make for himself to 'modify' an item ( I never thought of myself as a crafter - just a really good craftsman who prefers to make his own tools instead of relying on something from a store that won't do what I want it to ).
3. Removed the income that was generated from the selling of these items - between all classes (yes, I admit it....I sold clamps and knives
)
4. Replaced the tools needed to slice with a very obscure and difficult way to attain them. (Gotta love killing a Kryat only to slice his gut open with a lightsaber we borrowed from our pal that was freezing on Hoth, so we can sift through the guts - pewh! - to find a complete set of pristine tools!)
5. Completely reduced the effectiveness of our abilities. Our skills dropped about 66% with the slicing revamp - but we did get to choose the result, not a very fair trade off if you ask me.
And the results: It now costs on average about 7000% more to have an item sliced to it's max potential - whichresults in a 66% lower slice!!
Correct me if I am wrong, but is there any another business that can do that to it's customers than OPEC?
In the "In Concept" Dev Cycle - it states the following at this very moment (July 28, 2005 at 1:24 AM EST):
In Concept: Loot System Enhancement Everybody loves loot! In Star Wars Galaxies however, putting loot in the game is trickier than laying out a level or a dungeon and sticking cool items in there for players to discover and battle for. With SWG being built on a player economy, many kinds of loot can undercut crafters and hurt the virtual economy. Even still, everybody loves loot and we need a different loot solution for SWG. As it turns out, the team has been working towards enhancing the loot system. Here are the high level ideas for a loot revamp:
BRAVO! I can only say well done SOE, well done at accomplishing the above statement. Which economy were you concerned about again?
