Thread: More Jedi whining about Last Ditch

Thisi s not how it was intended. It should only be the person you are being attacked by that you should have the opportunity to apply a LD to.

Ehm, read my reply on that: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=jedi&message.id=983233&view=by_date_ascending&page=5
Last post on page.

Sounds like the fix would be to make it so that while dueling, you can't deal damage to anyone else except your immediate threat.
Of course, that guy shouldn't have stayed around when he saw such a one-sided duel.

So... if you're dueling someone for fun, and suddenly get aggro from some big nasty critter, you'd basically be screwed out of a special, right?
Yeah, sounds like a winning fix to me...

Instead of just calling us all whiners why not read the actual thread then judge for yourself. IT had some to our attention that Bounty hunters are abusing Last Ditch by Dueling each other to get their health almost down to nothing. Then one or more of the BH/smugglers proceeds to use Last Ditch as a First Strike against a jedi.

I'm not talking PVE. This is just for pvp occurences.

Sounds like you've gone to the Eskie Academy of Advanced Complaining.
"Last Ditch as FIRST STRIKE!! OMYGOOOSES!! NERF IT!!"
Maybe Jedi should look up how often it works, and realize that it usually leaves the BH incapped as well.
Of course, if the Jedi isn't on the terminal in the first place, it's a moot point. Sounds to me that the "fix" would be for Jedi to play smarter and stop building up visibility, instead of asking the Devs to dumb-down the game some more and make it safer for Jedi to play anywhere, any time.

Just a little fix to your "stay off the terminals" banter.
For decent XP you cant avoid visibility hence it being one of the top 10 issues. Grind groups for reasonable XP (slower than pre cu) and get vis or drop all but jedi skills and solo for really really bad XP and i mean slower than the UK public transport system.

Which methods are you referring to? Not arguing but the only ones ive seen are riflemen groups and i dont tend to have riflemen standing idle for grinding. Not that it matters to me as ive been finished for ages but my new padawan is gonna have it tough.
From what I've read on their own forum, Jedi only gain visibility if they use powers or their saber within a certain distance from someone else or an NPC (I don't remember what they said this distance is). So they group, and stay out of that range when using their glowbats and stuff. All the benefits of grouping, and none of the visibility.

Thats always been like that but the range is 32m which isnt particuarly handy for group hunting. Like i said unless you have 7 rifleman standing idle to help you grind your pretty screwed.
Not really. I can be in a group using pistols with a 35m range and do missions and easily stay at least that far away from others. They fight on one side of the lair, I fight on the other.
What is so hard about that?
