Loot only.

Well.... salvage if you planned ahead and unpacked all your AUK/WUKs, but they're loot for the foreseeable future.

It is currently "Under Research" that crated WUK/AUK's arent giving the salvage option. So hang in there cause the devs may do some good for us. I have went out a nd bought all the AUK/WUK crates off all the vendors that were under 5k a crate and have stockpiled 500 crates of these. it cost me an 750k, but if they fix it to where crated are salvageable, i wont have to loot slicing loot for a long time. Or it will atleast hold me over until they fix that space dropping rate for slicing loot

Some crates seem to do better than others. I find, in general, that out of a case of 25 WUK, I'll pull about20 simples,4-5 fines and maybe one special component (usually ICB) every 4 cases or so. AUKs are a bit different - I seem to get a good array of tools from them.

I've started to wonder if the experimentation value of these items might just now be starting to make a difference. Yes, I've seen the threads that say that it didn't matter for the old results, but the fact that crates made with higher-quality materials seem to yield higher numbers of finely crafted toolsets and ICBs leads me to wonder if quality does have some effect on the salvage...

I actually believe that the experimental value of the WUK's/AUK's has something to do with the conversion success. If I remember correctly GreenMarine indirectly stated something to that affect.

I had all 99% experimented WUK's because even though they didn't make a difference in the past I always experimented them up with the best resources anyway because I thought it might matter one day, and after converting only 15 WUK's from a crate of my 99% ones earlier today I ended up with

5 Fine Took Kits

1 Illegal Core Booster

and 9 Simple Tool Kits

So either I was extremely lucky during these 15 conversions or the experimental percentage may actually have some worth.

Well, that would be awesome if after saying for months and months that the quality of the tools didn't matter in regards to slicing, they very quietly made the quality of the toolsmatter when converting to the new system. And when I say it would be 'awesome', I mean that like how I think it would be awesome to have a wookiee kick me in the nards.
