Thread: HoC SWG Chat log
I think my sneak peek preview version was fairly accurate. ![]()
It was fun watching all the names go in and out though.
I think my favorite had something to do with Tiggs and a "pearl necklace". ![]()
Why set a fixed topic (the upcoming 1337 boi expansion, Pearls for the J3d-3y3) and then answer every question with: "Well wew can't say anything about that right now".
And who chose the questions? That guy neads a swift kick in the choad.
Don't forget the 3D versions. Or possible IMAX rereleases.

On the brightside kids, after this expansion, they'll be fresh out of movie tie-ins. So perhaps they can go back to the bug fixing and profession updates. On the other hand, there's a helluva lot of LucasArts games they could 'expand' into...
After this comes the Prequel Trilogy Boxed set.
And then the remastered Boxed Set.
And the re-remastered OT.
And then the whole set.
And then re-re-remastered whole set.
SWG can be milked for a while yet. I expect it will be.

Oh. yay. 500 players, and the devs answered the same questions over and over again. They ignored any question that was to difficult for them to answer, or wasn't covered by the memo LA gave them.
It was a pathetic waste of time. The only interesting part was watching the people get kicked out for having names like Tiggs_should_be_fired or stop_answerin_the_same_questi or why-not-be-honest.

Dear From Beyound,
I would be very happy to speak to you about your complaints on last nights Stratics HoC. Most do not know the process that takes place behind the scences during our House of Commons and our question policy. Your complaints are important to me and I am sure if we speak on this issue that you might gain a better understanding and perhaps benifit from the next HoC. I also would like to invite you to come as my guest to our next HoC so that you can see how it all works, so contact me.
Thank you!
First thing I'd do is ask the stratics representitive if they are being paid extra advertising dollars to host the HoC chats.
If so, I would supply the quote for the community to point out that, yes, HoC chats are ENTIRELY a marketing ploy.
If not, I would supply the quote to the community to collect messages on how important it is to try to actually get some real solid information out of these events, and not just drink from the rim--that's unhealthy, and gives stratics a bad reputation as a non-journalistic advertising outlet.

Personally, I think the person in charge of picking the questions needs a good hard prod up the backside from a heavily shined boot; for some reason questions that were answered kept being repeated (and it's not as if there weren't a wide variety to choose from). Ah well, here's the log:
Before a chat starts everyone is notified of what will be dicussed. Question takes post questions to the Dev teams and we get to sort through them. I can tell you last night it was a chore due to the same questions getting spammed over and over and they had nothing to do with the expansion. We stay on topic because we have members of that particular team present to deal iwth the questions asked.

I will give them one more chance... If the "special surprises" up their sleaves are good enough, I'll buy it and continue Star Wars Galaxies for as long as it takes me to get bored with it. In the incredibly unlikely (more like impossible) chance that the devs pull out the dead animalsthatscratched their ways infrom thier @sses, andcreate smuggling, that is WORTHWHILE... I will play for a while longer. But Ihave to admit, I am glad that the jedi don't get their FRS! Nowthey feelaslight .01% of what we feel, and the crap we get (and its enough to make them whine).
"Special surprises" are fun! =)

I enjoyed the people who kept joining and leaving to spam their nick. A few about Tiggs that I won't mention, and some smuggler ones : ). Was pretty worthless, and at least 3 questions were asked twice. What annoys me is that I guessed 8 for the first question at the end, and I was pretty quick. On the second I didn't guess at all, but the answer was Eight, /sigh.
