I don't know if it has just happend to me, but when I use Feign Death I fall to the ground still 100% aggro'd from NPC enemies, be it animal or Person. It's like I drop and then just lay there while the enemy proceeds to finish me off, lol.

PLEASE FIX THIS

I've had that happen too. And actually, if it's working as intended it does make a kind of sense. When I've seen it happen, I also see the message that I failed to feign death. So basically what's happening is you're going down on the ground to try and feign, but it's not fooling anyone so they keep kicking the crap outta you.

Best thing to do is watch for the message whether FD succeeds or fails. If it fails, quick get back up and try again...or hope that you don't get insta-db'd.

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.

The amount of time needed to get back up from a Feign is generally so long that I don't risk it. If I'm in trouble, I'll try to Root/Panic as many targets as possible while hoofing it for the hills. If I'm *really* in trouble, I'll probably be one-shotted before I get the chance to Feign.

So yeah. Feign is beyond useless to me now. Without any application in pvp,a long delay AND chance for failure in pve, it just isn't worth the toolbar-space. Even if it works, whoever was attacking me just stands over my corpse waiting for me to stand up. So fogeddaboudit. I've got more useful tools than just lying around on the ground all day.

yep spams you failed or succeded to fiegn death as a system mesage.

I've found it's about 50 50 but apperantly you cannot be targeted when you successfully pvp and pve. Agro come off you as well. I think that's balanced. If you fail your dead pretty quickly. If you succeed you can't not be hit or DB.

I've only tried it once against some lvl 45 creatures and it worked perfectly - I dropped, the animals went away, I came to and the animals ignored me - I was overjoyed!!

Of course it was probably just a double bug that simulated success- who knows.

It's been working well for me in PVE. I like to use it if I use up my action pool (even if my Health is high) just to recuperate it so that I can get up spamming specials again.

People must think I'm crazy or something to flop on the ground the first time a low level thug shoots at me, but it's given me a chance to relearn how to use FD.

I've learned that if I watch the screen for the system message and see failed then hit stand quickly asI can, you shouldn't see yourself fall on the ground and you can hit FD again almost immediately. Another fun thing to do is to root a creature then FD, this could be handy when you need a breather in the middle of combat or something.

My suggestion would be to go to a city with low level thugs, like Kaadara. They won't be a serious threat so you'll be able to practice andwork FD into your combat style, without worrying about being killed.

Slicing is now pretty much based on how close a weapon is to it's speed and/or damage cap. Armor is the same way with a cap about how effective it can be.

I tried FD inseveral duels, and it worked everytime.

I haven't had a chance in actual PvP yet since there are about 40 people playing our server at any given time now.

To me though, this would suggest it does work in PvP.
