I havent been a master smuggler long, Probably about a week. Its my fault cause I took my sweet time doing the pistol xp ( i have 4 characters) So I get a tell the other day from a guy that wants me to slice a LLC. I told him 10k. I forgot what the forums said about basic prices and such. The guy tells me to go screw and that I'm way over priced. I simply replied that If and IF i got a 30-35% damage slice it would probably sell for a 100k or more. So 10k compared to that is nothing. He replies back that what if I didnt get that kind of slice. I said its a chance you have to take, and if he didnt like it go buy a already sliced one and see how much he would have to pay for it. That was the last I heard from him. I didnt want to be rude, but I thought I was being more than fair. Most of the WS/AS charge 500k and up for good sliced weapons. They are making a killing and we help
**I meant to add it was krayt enchanced as well with some really nice tissues.

Greetings. I've been on a hiatus from swg from march till about 2wks ago. Back in march i was chrging the 100 credits per% thing.
Last 2 weeks I have been saying "Tip me what you feel is cool"
Surprisingly, I've been getting between 10-25k per item.
I still get some 2k -3k ones, but hey are not common. So, I'm going to stick with this for a bit.

I used to charge 5k per item. Then the auto-pull thing hit, and I was considering changing to 10k. When we figured out the pull macros, I settled on 6k per item. Just my way of getting back at all of the pricks that sold those locked containers for 6k each when I was grinding slices. Funny thing is that some people usually end up paying me around 10k per slice anyway.I don't know if this is just them being kind, or if the line in my bio saying "If you refuse to pay, the item goes on the bazaar." scares them.
I also slice newbie weapons for free.

I charge 10k per slice or 50k per suit of armor.
I get some complaints about price being too high, and I don't respond to them.
It comes down to what your time is worth. While I am waiting for you to meet me at location x so I can slice your two new VibroKnucklers I could have sliced a terminal and made almost 50k on a singlemission, and I didn't have to use a WUK or waste my time explaining slicing to you, or deal with a buggy trade interface or wait for you to figure out you need to unequip your pistol to trade it to me, or listen to you complain that you didn't get the damage slice you wanted. (go go run on sentences) *deep breath*.
It is what I call opportunity cost. As for the value of the items: I have a speed slice and a damage slice vendor. Any power hammer with a damage slice of 30% or higher is hitting 600 damage and I am charging 300k + for it. They sell, because people recognize the value. A power hammer with a 30% speed slice is selling for 150k. They sell, because people recognize the value.
The only thing I charge guildies for slicing is pride. I always screw with the color scheme of their armor whenever I slice.
Buncha salvation army fashion victims running around when I am done.

A guy is looking desparately for a master smuggler to slice some armor. Im kinda busy but I think, what the heck, maybe I should help the guy. I send him a tell and he is really gratefull. He says he's gotta have his full composite suit sliced as soon as possible. After noticing i wont have enough auk's I tell him if he wants to meet me back In correlia Ill do it. I offer the guy a price of 50k for the entire suit not to mention Im having to leave my hunting party in Yavin to help this guy out. Im thinking Im giving this guy a pretty good deal and he replies "thats more then 5k a slice!". I told him, "Yes im a master smuggler and you want an entire suit sliced, I usually charge 10k a piece." Guy says "ive never paid more than 3k a slice! Ill look somewhere else"
What are these people thinking? I know its been said before but these people buy their 15k buffs 3 hours, their 150k crates of brandy and their uber weapons and atatchments but they cant afford a 10k slice on a 350-450k suit of armor that lasts forever. Not to mention I was offering a price that was just barely over 5k a slice totaly undercutting my usual price of 10k.
Will our skills ever be appreciated and who is slicing armor at 3K a slice to where some think that is the norm?

I used to charge 100 cr per %, but that was way back. I soon got fed up with the bookkepping involved in a job with more than 3 or 4 items, and went to 3k flat, then 4k, then 5k. I've come back to master smuggler from2 months away, and I'm now pricing by type of slice. They tell me beforehand what type of slice theyhope to get(i.e., speed/damage for a weapon, encumbrance/effectiveness for armour). Each item that they get their requested type on (whatever the %) costs 10k - if it's the wrong type, it's free.
I still get my average of 5k, the record-keeping is negligible, and it seems to make customers much, muchhappier than just having a flat rate - admittedly, I haven't been doing it long, but I've been getting amazing tips so far. You might want to adjustthe amountfor your server's economy and your personal taste, but I'd recommend the system itself.

I charge 5k per slice but average closer to 10k after tips. I'm happy with that.
