Avoid Incap is not the same as feign, but I can see where it comes from. It eats a LOT of force to use and when its gone, so is the jedi. They can incap immediately after it is done. Makes it easy on a BH to get a kill if they are knight or above and don't get out of a city after using it for a free incap.

Yeah I know how it works , My point was that it and other skills server the same purpose as feign did "avoiding a db" or in "regain concsiousness"situation recovering from one.

With the new rules avoid incap could be less useful against a bh but a group of jedi could use transfer force and support a defender keeping him in the game indefinately prior to that or in normal pvp(sans BH) now.

In feigns place I want a skill called "giving the slip" it would at a distance, say 32m,end combat and give you a chance to become "invisible" off radar and overlay and with something like a mask scent for pve...then they can remove feign totally since everyone feels a person would check or make sure you are dead and a creature wouldn't stop chewwing just cause you fall and go limp.

I think I remember developers saying that this is one thing that will never be possible since its something that can easily be exploited. It was a long time ago, though. And as often as these guys change their minds, who knows now...

Either way...not something I want to dredge up...

Sorry, Drev....um...how about that EU? They did well in the series last year, think they'll go all the way this season?

Dark Sabre, Children, and the Blackfleet trilogy wernt that bad...im not saying they were that good but i think at the time they were just stuck in a rut and were retelling the same story, they fixed that with the two thrawn books that followed.I actually disliked a few of the NJO books more but thats just me and having a thing about them killing off a good character that they spent the better part of the series building up.

Have I mentioned that I had to walk across the room to pick my copy of Star by Star up off the floor after reading certain events? However, that said, I probably wouldn't be on this message board today ifit hadn't been for that book. After reading SbS, I found theofficialStarwars.com message boards, where I met some other people who I am now very good friends with. We started text-based RPing together, andwhen Galaxies came out, started playing together. I'm still the only one left in Galaxies though...they moved to EQ2 after being frustrated with the way the devs were handling things here...

Thinking about my above post... hehe would be quite funny to see Lord Nyax whip out a saber on the AFK Nyax campers.

Actually, I read the book where they confronted "Lord Nyax"... two things.

1.) He wasn't the real Lord Nyax. Lord Nyax is like the boogeyman. He's a story Corellian parents tell their kids. Both the one in the book and the one in the game (I'm assuming) are people using the name for the fear that it invokes. In the case of the one in the book, Corellian refugees trapped on Coruscant while it was under Vong occupation gave him the name and he started using it.

2.) He didn't have a lightsaber. He had six of them. They were attached to his wrists, elbows, and knees. He was like the Cyber Sith. Really freaky.

Hehe I can't remeber which trilogy I stopped reading on but it was back when Han and Leia's kids were just breaking from Winter. You happen to remeber which book/series this was? Sounds interesting

The Lord Nyax thing was about half way through the New Jedi Order.

The events in his post happened in the NJO. Pretty sure it's in the Enemy Lines duology.

But if you stopped reading when Jacen and Jaina were still kids, you definitely don't want to just jump into the middle of the NJO. To say you'd be lost is something of an understatement.

Thanks man, guess I had better just hit barnes and noble or something this weekend and pick up some books. I can't remeber which I had left off on, but it was def while Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin were very little. I haven't read them in years, maybe I should reread and catch up first Thanks again for the heads up.
