*Smuggler forum in two months*
Red name: Alright, our design work is finished, now we would just like you to compile a list of issues and ideas for us so we can compare the two and then release some info.

I have a bad feeling about this.....
First i feel that they always rush the GCW pub/revamp, for every damn good suggestion they told us "we have no plan yet. But we are looking for that, maybe later" or "we have no time now. But we are looking for that, maybe later"
no use for the rank system, no Patrol in citys, no use 4 the cantina crack-down, the GCW will be only kill as many npc u can and u will win, no use 4 politician crafter and Smugglers.
abd the crap of earlier stage for our Smuggler revamp, "we are looking 4 idea from the Player whta they want...." I thought they already know what we want????
Ahhh forget it i have no more feith in SWG
remember...this isnt the GCW revamp, the current changes are something they just implemented because it was "easy" for them to do at this time. the REAL GCW revamp is a ways down the line.

They've been "actively preparing stuff to talk with us about" for, well, forever. You can see that from the number of times they've asked for some document detailing what we want, and still they are "actively preparing stuff". Meh.

And for the sake of decency - I'm going to not answer your question ![]()

If you are pvp enabled, you are pvp enabled. Period. If you wish to be "safer", you have to go on leave. Smugglers will have an advantage when being on leave, but when flagged as special forces they will be exposed to the same risk as everyone else

So much for actual player smuggling.
Wes do the dev'sunderstand that a mask tef could be used for say only 10min and still leave you open for attack just making the enemy think your covert? If nothing else would they be open to an NPC masktef?? I ask because a masktef is realy the only way I can see use truly smuggling players.

Actually you could look at that dev quote in a different, although admittedly entirely too optimistic, way. "Smugglers will have an advantage when being on leave" An advantage of what? Perhaps we could take that quote to mean that Smugglers can't smuggle other players when the SMUGGLERS are PvP-enabled, but when the Smugglers themselves are on leave, or civialians, then they "have an advantage"-- an advantage to smuggle other players through patrols? Maybe he just means we can't do any player-smuggling when we're Special Forces flagged.
I dunno tho, very likely i'm reading into things a bit too much.

The situation is pretty much, our ability to avoid being scanned extends to being scanned while 'On Leave' and being uncovered and subsequently shot at. Our ability to avoid scans extends to those who we are grouped with, so when passing through enemy territory, we'll be able to aid others not be discovered.
What people here are trying to get however is an ability that basically puts people either temporarily On Leave, or in a temporary state, kind of half way between combatant and 'On Leave', where you don't show as an enemy on the radar, nor get attacked by enemy NPCs, but are still attackable by people that'rePvP enabledand have the nouse to check people walking by. My problem with this is that people could simply have a /target /attack macro running while the devs may see this as too difficult to implement (at least for now) or too inbalancing.
To answer Yimaz's questions, I simply don't know.
