Here's a little story from the summit.

At one point we were talking about Jedi and visibility. Also their current inability to lower their visibility in such a way that they can group up and play with their friends.

Well I naturally took this opportunity, mentioned possibilities of skills that could make that visibility lower.

That's about the time SOETyrant, the studio director asked if I was hoping for something along the lines of a smuggler skill. To which I replied something along the lines of it being anice idea.

"NO"

and that is the tale of how our involvement in jedi visibility was brought to an end. Though I don't know, maybe they will reconsider at the revamp, I'm not sure.

I guess you have to get to know the guy a bit better through what he says and does. Sure he is evil andprobably keeps our hopesand dreams in smalljars so he can crush one at random yet his candor is refreshing and his presence has brought about a great deal of change in the way I see the SWG working towards making this a better game. His sense of humor just makes his capacity for evil just seem more noticeable. He reminds me of the best English teacher I've ever had...

As for the other suggestions, well you never know. Here is another quote from the devs though. 'DIE TEF DIE!' and that should tell you something.

I really like the idea of the slicing the jedi names off the terminals and the penalty of taking there place should the slice fail. I guess the question should be how often should we fail and should we go on inaddition to rather then in place of the jedi.

Uhhh... not to point out the obvious guys... but isn't smuggling about living without morals, rules, or cares? there for we should be able to "exploit" the system. jk

From a RP point of viewmorals, rules and caresdepends on the individual, but to use "Im a smuggler so I can do what I want" is not cool and the over all community of Smugglers will not tolerate stealing or abuse of other players trust. Players trust us with weapons and armor, we are the only profession whoworksin this manner. We respect that trust, not abuse it and as far as SWG rules go we follow them like everyone else. Differnece between RP and being a thieving a$shat are very clear.
