Ok, a warning: I like complaining. What I'm about to do could be considered complaining. Consider yourself warned.
I'm ecstatic that a smuggler concept document has finally been posted in that forum. I've been waiting since they said we've needed love for said love. I haven't even played the game for the past like six months, aside from jumping back into the game to pay maintenence, which is no longer a problem with one of those new patches. Why am I still paying if I'm not playing? Because I continue to desire to be a smuggler. The thing is, it's hard to become a master smuggler as a person who hates grinding with all of my being. I don't want to go out and blast the crap out of mob after mob, especially if spending my pistol xp on smuggler boxes doesn't really help me get pistol xp any faster. The fact that I can no longer seem to find the unsubscribe button and am too lazy to call sony may add to the fact that I'm still paying though....
So why would I still be complaining if the smugglers are finally getting love? Because I came to the site today, and the first thing I see is some bloody expansion they want me to buy. Another expansion? Before I'm seeing huge flying banners about a smuggler revamp? This does not seem acceptable. I understand there are different teams for expansions, fixes, and revamps, butthat doesn't mean there are extra programmers really. All an expansion team does is give the revamp team fewer devs. I'll give you that having too many people on one project bogs it down. But if I give you that, give me this: Two expansions are going to be released before the smugglers really start getting the benefits of the love they said they'd give us almost right after launch.
I'm complaining, I know. I should be celebrating. It just irritates me every time they remind me that they're taking advantage of the fact that smugglers WANT their fixes so bad that many of us simply can't give up, and are going to be here when they finally bother. They're more concerned with getting more people to join their cult that they forget the needs of those of us already ready to drink the kool aid
