Still is the german air force...Reichwehr became the Bundeswehr tho..

Btw, if you live 30' from a lake...GO JUMP IN IT! That's what I'd be doing...geez some people..

Now If I could get a laptop that I could take in the lake with me and play SWG while swimming...that would be nice

Also, running cold water over your wrists is good.

I use a similar trick to cool down a scorching steering wheel. I grab wheel tightly with both hands next to each other for a couple minutes, then I move each hand a handlength down and repeat. Blood and veins act like coolant lines and fluid.

I was joking about the Luftwaffe.

And no I live maybe 1500 feet from a lake. I work 30 feet from it

Funny thing about the lake. nice to look at, good fishing, eating the fish will give you incurable cancer, and swimming in the lake will get you E. choli.

and screw anyone who says something akin to, "I live in Arizona, it's 100 in the shade"

Everybody know that's a dry heat. Whereas I'm literally 30 feet ( did I mention literally? ) from a lake. I feel like I'm in a steambasket.

LOL you get not sympathy from me...only 90 and you have A/C and you are still complaining???

For those of us in England can you please describe the sun? I'd like to put up a poster asking if anyone's seen it and offer a reward.

I'm sure I saw it a couple of weeks ago, but I may have been hallucinating.

If I find it, I'll give you a call.

I think it comes out now and then where I am, but probably mostly to mock those of us who live near the ocean, long enough to let us think it might be a pretty day, and then runs off again.

Not that I'm complaining. There'sa reason I love it here, and why I don't miss the states one bit.

I do make fun of my boyfriend, though, for shrivelling into a little ball just because I turn the light on in the next room over. There's a such thing as avoiding the sun, and then there's avoiding light altogether.

I find sitting in my car with the AC running is a good fix. Its too hot here to go top off driving. You know its hot when you have the roof off and at 65 MPH it feels like a blast furnace.

Having grown up in a desert, I'm still baffled by any place that doesn't keep all its homes, offices, and stores at roughly 68 degrees throughout the entire summer. Don't you people realize how nice that feels?

I can't help that I'm cold natured and like the high temperatures.
