Bio Engineer I suppose since that seems to be the catch all for crafting.
No one will be crafting spice. We'll have to steal or get some as a reward for deliveries.
Is there a thread that confirms this? If so, please provide a sticky so that we can protest.
Why should the devs take spice away from us? WTH is the problem that anything worth Fing crafting is getting hosed, nerfed or taken away?
Makes me want to respec away from MS now.

Unfortunately Thorkahn the majority of us asked for this.
It was always my contention that we had some spices that we crafted and others that we "smuggled". This way we wouldn't be taking game play from those smugglers who do like to craft spice.
From the sounds of it- the Devs have decided on a completely smuggled spice system but that is only "in concept" nothing is in stone.
There has been mentioning of experimentation counting in smuggler crafting- maybe they don't just mean the tools! All in all- we'll just have to wait untilthe revamp or some Dev starts talking to us about what is going to happen.
It doesn't look good for the crafting Smuggler though.

You can mix and match spices now? Hell I was in the sandbox and I missed that one.
