Hey, Wes!
I know you can't tell us about this "announcement" BUT-
Can you tell us if it's good?
and if so- How good is it?
I'll even give you a ratings system:
From 1-10
1- being documentation of the Master's box
5- being a weapon dedicated to Smuggler's
10- announcing the target for our full blown revamp.
Not trying to go against you here HOTDOG, but I'm gonna stick my nose in and say Wes really shouldn't do that. Here's why:
1. The recent announcement by the Fencer Corr on info he thought was solid that turned out to be held back. Even though it was with good intentions, he was kind of left with egg on his face. The regulars are understanding, but I don't want to see someone who doesn't read or post much here come on and blast Wes because of something similar.
2. Wes takes the heat for too much as it is. Whatever the announcement is, I want from the Devs and only the Devs because we deserve that kind of respect. I expect an announcment followed by a conversation with them regardless of what it is. We rate that much, and whatever it winds up being, I don't want Wes to get caught in the crossfire.
3. What Wes likes, may not be what others. I don't want him to be blamed because something that comes out is not what some people wanted. If you want to see what I'm talking about, head over to the GCW forum and check out how Aura is being held responsible for changes that were announced 2 days after he was made the Corr.
I know we're all anxious, but if Tyrant says look for the announcement, then it better (and probably will) come pretty quick. A week or two may seem like a lot to us, but in terms of development it can be very little.
Unrelated, but...
Is it only me, or are Mondays usually fairly quiet, news wise? I seem to have noticed that lately.
Thanks Zane. In the past this profession's community has been given a whole heap of hope, followed by a large serving of disparity and depression; I know the devs don't want to cause any more of this and I certainly do not want to contribute to any more of it, having experienced the feelings outlined first hand.

It's also always better to underestimate the impact of the news, and be blown away when it exceeds them. Far easier then having high hopes, just to have them dashed...again...or be dissapointed...again.
That's been my philosophy with everything for the last 10 years of my life. I expect the worst and hope for the best (well at least I try to
