I bellieve that the developers are making it so that containers contain more skill tapes now that they are stoping the Borgle cave rape.
Maybe it's just me, but I got a nice laugh out of the fact that a guy named Batman is complaining about peopleplundering the Bat Cave. It makes me imagine Bruce Wayne trying to get his suit out of the locker, only to have a loitering ninja looter beat him to it over and over and over again.
ROFLMAO!!!1

i opened 40 containers in the last 24 hrs-- got several skill tapes (4-6), but none with a bonus over +2. as soon as i train slicing 1, i'm going to slice 40 or 50 more (been saving them for a long time). i'll post my results.
i think you've been lucky as I've never had anything better than a cdef carbine in any of the locked containers I've opened,
actually don't mind me just having a bad day

This is why i destroy them as fast as i get them, just taking inventory space
I rarely loot containers myself, but I have 2 former guildies that are grinding towards jedi, and they hold onto their looted containers for me - they drop them at one of my vendors when they come back to Tat. It's still not alot of slicing, but its alot more than i would do on my own, or could afford to buy right now. Just put the word out - those locked containers are useless to everyone else. I just had to promise to cough up any really good loot that might be found inside. Nothing yet worth mentioning.

I myself have a very hard time finding locked containers as loot, since i'm dirt poor and can't afford to buy them on the bazaar for six to ten grand each (insert shudder here). I've been hopping around moeina and kaadara on naboo, kauri, but my container discovery is about 1 container for every 20 or so kills. Very frustrating. However, I have noticed quite a few skill mod tapes (one for a penalty to kd resist) and only once an additional container within one, but mostly it's been cdef weapons and shoes. Lots and lots of shoes.
But hey! At least I managed to find a rather nice padded white jacket that I'm told I look pretty spiffy in! Lookin' good and scraping for cash! That's my style!
i just got major yesterday, and except for the 500 fp i got from doing the warren and maybe 800 purchased fp, all the rest of the fp came from missions.
i got lucky the other day, i looted a radar screen, then i was super shocked to get another one about 15 minutes later. also i got a holocron about a week ago and thats it.
granted these are not crap loot, but out of the 35k of fp ive gotten from the rebel scum i have slaughtered, thats it.
i dont know who drops the good stuff but it isnt the rebels on ahazi.

Well two days ago I did around 300 Imp missions (got warrant officer II and I) I found 5 containers,4 of them had AAs and CAs in them. Surprisingly, they werent blank or negative. Best one was Pistol Speed 2. However,I dont see why ppl camp meatlumps to get loot. Doing factional missions is alot more funnier, and you get better loot to.
I camp Meatlumps in order to keep a decent supply of Locked Containers on my grinding vendor for the Novices. (Don't look at me like that, I only sell them for 1 cred.)
Usually, I do this when I'm doing laundry, housework, or just watching something interesting on TV. I just keep my loot macro running and clean out my inventory every now and then.
Last night was particularly profitable. For 3 hours of camping a spawn of Meatlumps, I got 21 Locked Containers...along with 2 Blue Rug Adhesives, and a Glass Table Adhesive...and looted 180k creds. Currently, the Blue Rug Adhesives have high bids of 400k each and someone bought out the Glass Table Adhesive for 250k. All the other crap (Radio/Street Lamp/Droid Body schems, Broken Data pads, etc.) I just destroyed...keeping only the LCs and the adhesives.
And, as far as faction missions giving better loot.........that only works if you'rea Rebel killing Imperials. Rebel NPCs are still dropping the same ol' crappy loot from before.
I got about another 8 or so containers from inside those containers, (one of 'em was even three contaienrs deep) 4 weapons with DoTs, over 60 junk weapons, lots of random clothing bits, probably about 20-25 in total, 3 armor attachments, 5 skill tape attachments, 2 teasure maps, 3 imperial transmissions, and a partridge in a pear tree.
