thanks!
So mainly there a PVE assett?
Has anyone ever had success in PvP with these things?
I've tried a couple against buffed opponents as a suprise opening attack. I havnt been too successful with them. That brings up a couple of more questions.
1. will they do damage to ANYONE in area of attack or only those that are tef'ed to you?
2. whats the highest det power seen on you server ?( 38 here )
3. does the det power coincide with damage produced ? ( ie 3800 for 38 det power )
Thanks again
being as my bottom thingy says. cork gun wielder !!!!!!!! i most often become turret commander. i keep one ready and grouped all times. if someone gets up and starts whacking hard on a turret i run outside with the bot do /detonate and run right at the person attacking the turret and blammo. effectiveness? sometimes they incap. sometimes they get beat up some.. no real statistics on exact percent of people get incap or not (to many ham variables) i have only seen it work on tef. i have seen blue dots hanging around who are not tef who have not gotten a scratch while the red dots get a face of kaboom
I can think of one place I would like to try these. The room in the Geo dungeon where you get the DXR-6b (Tenloss rifle) schematic is guarded by three enhanced Klikniks, I believe. It would be nice to "soften them up" before trying to take all three out, so I have the following questions:
1. You can't take out pets in the dungeon - can you call droids? (unfortunately, I assume not)
2. If I stand outside the room (just around the corner) and send in the MSE bomb droid BEFORE I initiate combat, will the blast damage them? Or do I already have to be engaged with them?
Very good thread by the way... most informative!
I like them, but I am having a difficult time using them effectively mainly because of the shenanigans involved try to target/chase a creature then targetting the MSE to detonate it.
I've tried various command routines to no avail (the ones suggested in the DE forum), so I figure I'm missing something.
Can somebody post a good set of instructions/commands for using these?

I made a macro to /target an MSE "mouse" droid,pause1 /detonatedroid.
It usually works execept the other night while adventuring with a few friends one of which has a combat droid and my macro kept targeting his droid. So I just grouped with it and that made it easier to detonate.

I called about 10 bombdroids from their deeds in the geo caves last night and sent them off to blow stuff up.

You do not have to be engaged in combatwith them to get it to work. After the balst, they will aggro you though. In a case like this, I would recommend an R3 with 6 mods for about 65Det Power. If you are grouped with another BH or smuggler, have them send in one as well. That'll but a dent in all of them for sure!

It would be very cool if these droids could be made colorless--then they'd be invisible ![]()
I had my first successful use the other day (mouse droid) against an Imp camp (camping Imps, also known as ChImps). Anyway, they died and I didn't get any credit for it--it was quick and effective, at least.
