OMG... It can actually be done!
I'm Master Smuggler/Master Carbineer. I like the ranged KD and area attack from Carbineer. Plus it's more unique. Riflemen and Pistoleers are a dime a dozen.
Well, I thought it was unique until one of my RL friends told me that his new Shadowfire character is a Smuggler/Carbineer. I was going to accuse him of stealing my template until I remembered that he didn't now what my template was.

CM, Rifle, BH. I just have trouble picking which one.
That said... small tidbit for those Smugglers/Commando's out there who enjoy really helping your group out.
Macro Called 'Playdead'
/knockdown recovery (or whatever the actual syntax is)
/feign
Now when your group accidently ticks off a bunch of critters... OR wades into a bunch of nasty aggro in vile dungeons... go ahead and drop that AOE concussion... now move away from the group and aggro as best and quickly as you can and trigger 'Playdead' a time or two. The distance from aggroing critters is pretty vital it seems for FD to work and once it DOES work... you've managed to mezz all those creatures, who promptly forget about you when it comes time to wander freely and chew on people.
