Well people dont forget racial bonuses! We bothans get a slicing bonus! So those that go over supposed caps MAY be bothan...just a thought.
Does a master smuggler get a visible bonuse to Slicing or is slice 4 as high as it gets?
not only have we found it ot be true, the Devs have verified it to be true.
Greenmarine has confired it to SanTsu, our corrospondant.
And yes it's in the FAQ. 
if anyone on the chilastra server PLEASE e-mail or /tell Govan that masters DO get bonus to slicing i would love that lol. in my advertising macro i claim that masters slicer better then slicers so they have a better chance of getting that slice they want with me. she follows me around /shouting Dont listen to rahzael! he doesnt know wat hes talking about! check the master smuggler box they dont get anything!
she does that the whole time im advertising my silcing (shes a slicer btw not a master lol)
i still get the business around the city but its just really annoying. i told her to check the smuggler forum but she obviously didnt check it cuz shes been doing this for the last 3 days.
so PLZ if ur on the chilastra server plz tell her so she can stop trying to make me out as a liar thnx

Once any crafting profession reaches master, (or us), just keep their Master title on and searchable. When I'm looking for something, no matter what, I want the best so I look for a Master. Even pointless things like clamps, I'll buy from a master smuggler if I can find one, (actually I have a shop now where I buiy just about everything I can't make myself for the job.
It's a little (very little) like a reknowned neurosurgeon advertising in the local paper.
*shrug* Just my opinion. My Novice title's getting me more business thanI thought it would.

No offence...but this all sounds a little childish to me. Sorta like something you would see on an elementary school playground...
And I really don't want this to sound inflamatory...
But, as a Master Smuggler, why are you /shouting for business anyway? Since I've made Master Smuggler, I haven't done any advertising beyond displaying my tag and being searchable, and I've done pretty well for myeself in the slicing business through /tells and just having people walk up to me and ask.
Granted, there are nights when I don't slice a single item. But there are other nights when I feel the need to hide my tag because I'm caught up in "/tell hell" and can't get anything else done...but I fight the urge and just politely answer every /tell I get. I've displayed my Master tag since the moment I earned it and never turn it off...no matter what I'm doing.
I honestly feel sorry for a Master who feels they must /shout for business. I was running by the Moenia starport a few weeks ago as another Master Smuggler walked out of the starport and hit an advertising macro for slicing services. I just kept on running and slipped into the cantina where I quietly sat and made around 50k creds slicing for people who just sent me /tells while I watched the dancers.
In my experience, spamming spatials are more of an annoyance than anything else.
Also...can't you just refer this Govan person to the forums yourself?
If she's playing the game, she has access to the forums and can read the FAQ for herself. There's also the original thread started by San Tsu where he says GreenMarineconfirmed the Master's slicing bonus...but someone would have to dig it up and give it a bump since San didn't sticky it...

And are you trying to say that SWG isn't like an elementary school playground?
Why shouldn't they /shout for business? Everyone else does? CH selling their rock beetles. Architects selling their houses. Coronet square (the area in front of the Starport) is basically a marketplace. People hawking their wares. Thats just the way it is.
And I agree, its very annoying. But hey, look at it this way, with smugglers /shouting for business, YOU get to avoid the /tell hell since others who want to slice will be taking the heat off you.
And to the Osx, don't be surprised at Govan. Your basically trying to steal business from the Slice4 slicers with your /shout. Even though your information is accurate, its not a very cool thing to spam. Just as its not very cool for Govan to spam what he is spamming.
Finally made it last night. 
Now I can't wait to log on and go to Bestine and get that first flood of /tells
