I have no idea. That's one thing that's driving me nuts. I like the pvp rule set of the PvP Servers, in that you're always in PvP mode if you're in neutral or opposing faction territory, and can initiate PvP against the opposing faction in your territory. It brings an element of risk to the game. BUT, I'm assuming there's going to be an @sshole factor to go along with the "pwn" rules. There are RP servers, which obviously, will probably have a more respectable and intelligent group of people, and apparently have monitored and enforced OOC rules. A. I break IC a lot (sometimes I just can't help it > ) and B. They appear to follow the PvE server ruleset... which baffles me, as the PvP ruleset, IMO, is more immersive, even if it does lend itself to ganking. I suppose I could always just type /pvp every time I felt like being risky

But yea, still workin on the server. I can't imagine any server being as good as SS though.

You would think there would be at least one combo server but I don't seem to see one in the list.

oh yea, and apparently WoW's latest patch came with a free respec So nobody try and claim any game is perfect

Well now that I've cancelled SWG account I think I may just try WOW...at least I'm not giving my money to Sony.

An evil warlock elf sounds interesting.

What server do people recommend?

I just ate, all the blood went from my brain to my stomach...I don't get it, looks like a blank screen? I can't play an evil warlock elf in WOW?

Human, Gnome, Orc, Undead.

Warlock is pretty race limited, because they're so "unnatural"

The rest of the races are more in tune with nature.

Undead is the most obvious choice for warlock, for pretty obvious reasons.

But, imagine if you will, a Gnome, controlling a giant Glowing green rock monster for shear sight gags alone, Gnome wins

Ahh...I figured it out after exploring the site some. Still going to give WoW a try, it looks pretty interesting.

Any server suggestions if I'm not particularly interested in PvP?

Well all the servers have a voluntary PvP setup, you just have to type /pvp to enable yourself. Works similar to SWG in that respect. Then they have the battlefields. So even on an RP server you're allright.

If you're not going to PvP THAT much, I'd reccomend an RP server. the rules in place and the fact that the apparently monitor the general channels should cut down on the retard factor, if only a little.

Also, if you did any non-combat profession stuff in SWG, I'd recommend picking up "professions" asap. I played with a druid and did some herb gathering and alchemy, was pretty fun, what little I did with it.

I think I might switch to WoW as well. The only problem is that game is so gay looking. You can't be a hard-assed smuggler in that game Oh wait, you can't be that in this one either. *Goes off to buy WoW*

It's "cartoony"

but the attention to detail is pretty astounding. There's whole areas where the textures are hand painted, rather than just a block of tiles. the character models could use a bit more detail, but overall the look does work, least for me. I could probably do without the gnome voice...

That's OK. I've been putting up with 'cartoony' development for two years with SOE. I'll happily trade that for 'cartoony' characters.
