yeah I tried to experiment, it's gone. Same goes for tailor. They probably removed it waiting to rework it in a next patch. BUT WHEN... ![]()

4. Spices
- Experimentation never had any impact on spices, so the UI stubs for these were removed. Adding experimentation systems to crafted items takes time, but we'd like to add one to spicing at some point.
- The effects of spices still need to be balanced to other buff consumables. Also, effects like burst run, etc, can be added, but require more development time.

Hey there fellow smugglers! As I was grinding through the spice tree, I noticed that after spices 1 I had 40 pts of spice experimentation, but when I stood next to the crafting station, and I never got an experimentation menu- just for making a prototype or manufacturing scematic. I tried this with all the spices makeable with spices 2
Is this a bug, or a nerf, or what?! Cause I figure if i can make better spices for sale then that would be good

It has been this way for a loooong loong time. When first implemented spice experimentation did nothing to the spices. So, instead of fixing it they took experimentation out. We've been asking and asking for experimentation but instead we got nerfs and weak content.

how many pts can u get?? i never saw any CAs withspice experimentation so do you only get the 8 pts from the spice tree?

I mean for christ sakes dont you think people would notice that the same spice will ALWAYS have the same stats?

wow sorry for asking a simple question. i didnt see it in the FAQ and have never used any spice. i dont even have smuggler yet to experiment.

Spices
What are spices?
Spices are "buffs" that give your character enhanced stats for a limited time. When the spices wear off though, you suffer from a 'downer' or 'withdrawal' They are instant in their buff, and can be used as "ghetto stims" though only one can be used at a time.
What is this spice 'Withdrawal' or 'downer'?
Downers are the negative effects of spice and last between 20 and 30 seconds. The negative effects of the spice mirror the positive effects and also prevent the character from using more spice and/or consuming food.
Do spices stack with a chef's food?
Yes, the increase in stat from both food and spice will "stack" meaning that they will both add to the stat.
How many spices can be active at once?
One. Including withdrawal time.
Why can't I experiment on Spice?
The developers have something planned in the form of a Smuggling system that would see Smugglers aquire spice by Smuggling it into the game, rather than crafting it. There is no indication as to when this will come to fruition however.
