Thread: Proposal for Prices:
I can handle these guidelines, as long as everyone else is agreed, of course I'm going off word of mouth since I haven't seen the slicing personally yet. As for the broken weapons though, I think it should be dependent on the level of the slice that was on the weapon to begin with.

To bring it more on par with pre-cu slicing, I'd think the following pricing is more appropriate:
Level 1 Slice: 10k
Level 1-2 Slice: 20k
Level 1-3 Slice: 30k
Level 1-4 Slice: 40k
Fixing Broken Weapons: 25k
Fixing Broken Weapons in "Emergency Situations": slicer's discretion
I wonder if the lack of tool cost needed will cause more argument from the customer base though...it was one of our primary explainations before.
Yup , im gonna make some BIG money for once , our time has come![]()
If this goes thru as we hope it does , were gonna make a mint![]()
and for those that dont like it........................................ /addignore is your freind![]()
I think about 500 to1000 creds per % of customization the customer wishes.
That means if someone brings me a 80/100 gun and wants to fill her up it still will cost 100.000 creds.
I can now choose what to improve, so they have to pay. Maybe I throw in a crate of random spice... *sigh*
I was thinking of weapon slices along these lines:
<= 50% cust >50% cust
weapon lvl <= 30 10k 25k
weapon lvl > 3025k 50k
I like giving a price break to kids stuck using newbie weapons... give them a bonus that they can afford. As for higher level players, if you want your lvl 54 pistol damage maxed, you can afford it.
Armor would go well with the customization levels: < 50% for 10k, < 50% for 15k, Full suit gets a flat price of 120k. I do think that armor needs a different scale than weapons. A max-stat, full set goes for 600k. I'm all for making a buck, but even 40k*9 = 360k to slice a full set.
You all are also a lot more hard-core on the repairs than I was planning on. If you're set up in a city for a day of money making, I don't think that a repair should cost more than the initial slice did. 5k-10k for a "repair shop" job I think is fine. Out in the field? 25k works great.... especially with the 'annoyance multiplier' factored in.
Yes? No? too complicated? too much? too little?pie, anyone?

Thats sounds about right. We have to seperate newbies and long-term players, since the amount they can afford, differs alot. Can i get fellow chilstra smugglers to agree on this, so i know others on the server won't undercut me. Only thing i am worried about this community agreed price, is the respec'd smugglers, who don't actually know about slicing prices.
I'm a Chilastra Smug, but I'm not going to use any fancy formula to calculate slicing prices. I've always used a flat rate per piece, and I'm sticking with that. My ratewill be higher with the new slicing changes, maybe something like 25K per slice, but it's going to be the same no matter what kinda of weapon or armor it is. I'll probably charge the same to repair.
It's just easier on the brain and requires very little math. When I am playing, it's usually at the end of the day, and the last thing I want to do is math. ![]()

I do however think we should allquadruple our slicing prices the first week
Fixed it for ya.
It's about time u guys got some loving - hardly a revamp but at least the devs acknowledge ur existance for this patch.
On the subject of pricing - a good slice can change the value of a weapon considerably, so you just need to make sure u get ur share. If you can make a 30k weapon into a 130k weapon why shouldnt you charge at least 50k for that. On that formula if you can change a 1mil weapon into a 2mil weapon - well you get my point I think.
Have fun u guys and welcome back ![]()
Hope u get a PROPER revamp soon
Good point there camelz... Also, here's another idea (kinda stole it from someone else, sorry!)
Why not set out prices at 8 credits (hold on!) x customization level x weapon level.... For noobs with level 1 crap, we can charge them 800 credits... But for a level 54 weapon, we can charge them 43,200. For level 16 weapons, we can charge 12,800 credits... Still affordable for them. This system is easy to follow, and we can change the 8 into 10's for retards, and 5's for guildies. And maybe even something like 15 foremergency repairs on the field.Easy to manipulate, and we could even use this "format" as a standard system. You could say, "I slice for 8 cpcl!" to give customers a quick and easy way to tell who has the best prices.
cpcl standing for: credits per customization &(weapon)level
flat rates of.
25k for weapons
100k for suits.
+100k for call out charge
+100k for 10m deposite on ADK weapons (if you don't trust me)
I never used the tools argument to explain my prices. It was always my time and if people want my time then they are going to pay for it.
exception to the above is guild and long time friends which will be "Just tip me whatever and get the hell out of here you noob
"
