agreed, BH only

Yes, let's give the Bounty Hunters dual weild, genius... as if they don't have better pistol stats than Master Pistoleers already. They've got the skill points now with the Master Scout requirement removed, if they want to dual wield pistols, they can get Master Pistoleer. Just because Jango Fett used two pistols doesn't mean that it should be for Bounty Hunters only.

Master Bounty Hunter - Pistol Speed +80, Pistol Accuracy +120

Master Pistoleer - Pistol Speed +74, Pistol Accuracy +95

(This is of course, focusing only on pistol skills, not defenses and such.)

Plans were for pistoleer and fencer I believe. Nothing about smugglers.

And don't forget Jedi. I saw a while back they were pushing to be able to dual wield lightsabers...cuz just one isn't enough right?

What's your point? That's an actual (I say that as if jedi are real... lol) saber fighting style. I know it was sarcastic but really... the fact of it being an actual style (regardless of it being in the game or not) kind of ruins the pointed humor don't ya think?

I think he was just pointing out the fact that jedi's get all the attention anyways, then why not give them more...

gotcha. I think you're probably right.

Actually, my point was a combination of "Jedi get everything they want already" and "isn't it just a little overkill to give them the ability to double their damage output with a second weapon?" Then there's also the double-bladed lightsaber users who'd complain that they should be able to dual wield their weapons as well.

Basically though, when you've got the hydrogen bomb and everyone else is using muskets, do you really need a second hydrogen bomb?

Eh, it's a very easy mechanic. Lower the weapon damage when duel wielding either by arbitrarily lowering the damage of each weapon or by coding a negative multiplier on damage done while duel wielding. I agree jedi do enough damage but considering it's an actual light saber style, I don't see any reason why it should be in game. That being said though, the jedi already got a revamp. If more dev time is given toward them when there are so many other things in need of attention, I'm going to go freakin postal man...

I don't get the arguement about the double bladed users though... it seems a bit over the top. How the hell would you duel wield something it takes your entire body to use properly when you use just one?

The motion capture has been taken to allow them to make the animations etc. but that's all. Dual wield will be possible for fencers and pistoleers, no word on Jedi. As to the "It should be BH" argument, the only basis for that is Jango had two pistols... well guess what, Jango's not your everyday bounty hunter, he's a main character that previously used to be one of the most deadly fighters in the galaxy, namely a mandalorian commando. If he were a characer in SWG he'd be Master BH, Master Commando, Master Pistoleer and Master Privateer (neutral pilot). Pistoleers will get dual wield (eventually) because they are the masters of all things involving pistols. If you want your character to be especially good with pistols and a BH, then I advise you pick up Master Pistoleer and Master BH.

Hey hey hey...WHO CARES IF BH'S GET THEM OR NOT?

This is the Smuggler's forum. Unless you want to argue over whether or not WE should get them, is it really necessary for us to start snapping at each other over this issue? Discussion is one thing. But that discussion doesn't belong here and it DAMN sure isn't relative enough to warrent a flame fest.

Dual wielding is for pistoleers (which makes sense) and Fencers (which makes sense, as there are many duel wielding fencing styles in many cultures) and Jedi (because there are examples in the movie and in the EU of such). Maybe Bounty Hunter belongs on that list (there are no more Jedi in the Movies that dual wield than bounty hunters honestly) maybe not. Personally, I don't care. I may have to drop some merchant later to get enough skill points in Pistoleer to dual wield because it's bad ass. Beyond that I hope it has NO added functionallity. I hope it just LOOKS cool.

Heh, right now I'd settle for dual wield never being in the game and Pistoleer being made useful. Then I could drop TKM and stop being the Kung Fu Smuggler and start being a Star Wars esq. Smuggler

I'd love to be able to spend the SP I currently have tied up in TKA on something more.. well, Star Warsy.

if anyone gets dualies it should be smugglers, they dont get a ton of moves, sure they get cool ones, but since they have a lesser amount they should get the cool weapons

I don't think he would have enough SP's for all of that

Well, no, that was partly my point, he's one of the main characters and as such above anything anyone can hope to be in game (with the possible exception of some high end Jedi)

Fett would only need another 74 SP to make all that.. not bad. Almost do-able he cant quite pick up novice commando either. with only 250 sp
