how many uber million cr weapons have u ruined with a speed slice?
today i went thru about 20 crated weapons...tryin to get 2-3 speed slices in a row, so i can hopefully hit a nice damage slice on a 4mil cr de-10....well, u know how it turned out allready, i dont even need to tell u.
i dont msg here much, but ive been a smuggler for about 5 months now...and everytime i get a bad slice on something worthwile...it really gets to me
on the otherhand..i got 2 killer slices on executioner hacks last night....but this morning..getting speed on that de-10, just got to me
the customer wasn't upset, i guess for pistols its not all that bad since the speed cap is hard to reach without mods. but man it just gets to me
hoping one day in the future ill beable to actually pick what kind of slice i want..speed,dmg,base,incumb...it shouldnt be a guess, and it should never be a letdown, im a freakin master smuggler, i should not be a clumsy mechanic sometimes ya know?
Why get upset? We smugglers just cut two wires and that's it, it's not like we can do anything to get better slices.

well heres what i do. if its really important to me (like the 2 executioner hacks i sliced 3 nights ago). i will slice until i get 3 speed slices in a row( i understand the clean slate each time ideal). but only once has this not worked out for me. that fourth slice 99% of the time will be damage(for me, personally..obviously not fact because this is just from personal experience). but i will keep doing this, because its what works for me more than not. it might take a crate and a half of survival knives to get 3 speed in a row. but it works. also just to help the other side of the arguement..i have had 7 speed slices in a row. and man thats crazy.
whats even worse..and way more often is getting 8 out of 9 encumberance slices in a row on a suit of armor. it helps ham...but most ppl like atleast having a base sliced helm and chest..and if your picky, gloves and boots.
and i know speed slices dont hurt. for grinding, its usually what people want. but for those uber crafted weapons that come a dime a dozen. 9 out of 10 times they want a damage hit, thats what i mean by a bad slice..not percent wise.

Just wait till you luck out like I do sometimes, and slice a weapon for a speed of 0.9.

Guys, I'm not trying to be a **edit** here, but slicing 3 speed slices in a row DOES NOT EFFECT whether you get a damage slice on your next one. Categorically does not do it. If you think that 99% of the time you get a damage slice after getting 3 speed slices, realize this fact: It is all in your head. You pay special attention to those times when you do get a damage slice after 3 speed slices and forget about all the other times when it doesn't happen, unless you get like 8 in a row.
If you truly understand the principle of every slice being an entity in and of itself and a flat 50% chance to get either damage or speed, then you should understand that it is just not true that 99% of the time after 3 speed slices you will get damage. This is a common error of perception. You do not have to waste your time and your client's time and your money slicing crates of crappy weapons to try and get several speed in a row. IT ACCOMPLISHES NOTHING. I'll repeat that: IT ACCOMPLISHES NOTHING. The chance you have to get a damage slice is always 50% and will be until the devs change this utterly retarded slicing system.
