I've enjoyed my triple so far. It's not the most obviously strong PvP arrangement, but it's good and can be very good depending on your own abilities and on how much moneyyou have to buy really great pistols and speed tapes for pistols.

However, therecently introducedswapping delays may make it moot--I haven't PvP'd since Pub 9 so far.

On the other hand, I didn't switch all that often anyway (at least in duels) because you don't need to against a single opponent--you should be set up for what you need at the beginning. I think it will be a pretty big drawback in mass battle--but others will have this problem as well, don't forget. And for BHs the equipment lagreally bites.

I have no regrets with the triple route--it's been lots of fun so far and I'm still learning how to use it properly. One thing in particular I like about is that using it is kind of like fishing. You use a pistol to lure them in, then beat on them with TK, then use a pistol to finish them as they're running away (or kite them if they're the ones giving you a beating). That I like a lot.

The Triple still has its versatility, but it's just become a little harder to take advantage of. However, everyone else's versatility has also just gotten more difficult to use, too--so in the end it may not make a huge difference.

With the new JTL you wont have to worry about skillpoints, piloting skills wont cost you any of your original 250 skill points. The only new class that will cost ya, will be the shipwright. So you can still focus on your ground 455 whooping, and still be a great pilot.
