My reaction upon initially hearing about the expansion a few weeks ago: "I'll only buy this thing if they include the YT-2400."

They should aim to have all the YTs or at least more freighters. That way we can all be in our pirate ships without having FOTM ones. We won't be able to move for YT-2400s now, taking all the coolness out of it. 
At least if we had the YT-2000 as well (hopefully one day!), there would be a dividing line of 'taste' when it came to your ship of choice. We'd have a nice variety then.

i get the impression that the YT-2400 is smaller in size to the YT -1300. Thats not a problem just making passing comment

Considering that its basically the same design alas without the mandibles, it should be a bit smaller.

That'd be nice, but I doubt it. Just take a look at the ROTW ships. As far as I know, only one of them can be flown by peoplewithout that expansion, and it is loot only. Ok, well that's not entirely true... I can fly my friends Y-8, but it's his ship. I'm sure you get the point though.

Okay, general reply to several of the subjects in here.
I'm definitely not buying the expansion, I think it's a travesty.
The Grievous fighter, the Jedi Starfighter 2, and the neutral loot ship are all tradeable AFAIK, the BARC speeder and Varactyl are both tradeable, and so forth. Chances are the YT2400 will either be tradeable or available as a craftable item, perhaps akin to a RIS type quest schematic.
The YT 2400 IS smaller, by a little, but it also has a greater cargo capacity. A good 50 metric tons more I believe. I also think it shares quite a few parts with the YT.

I think the Devs are going to avoid the Wookie World mistake of making all the loot readily usable.
They really cought alot of flak from the crafters for making them irrelevant in the expansion.
So my guess is that at least 3/4 of the loot inthe expansionwill be limited use schems.
