"Pistoleer is very effective against stormies, that's right but mostly I encounter enemies who come up close and then TKA is the right choice again. In addition, to be a "really" effective pistoleer you need pistols which cost millions of creds and skill tapes which cost more millions." - true_Kieran

First off this is NOT a flame, I just want to let you know that one does not have to spend millions to be a good fighter. I am a Tripple Crown and I know that a VK at TKM is very effective, powerful, and fearsome force to be reckoned with. But I love pistols and I have found that just a fair-quality handgun that I buy for about 100k or so tops is just as good. I do not use skill tapes,I do not spend millions on a weapon and I do extremely well in PvE and PvP.

Though one day I would like to get a DE-10 pistol, I am not willing to spend 2-5Million on one. I am sure skill tapes would help abit, but I will stick to what I call a "pure" combat skill. Now those of you that have the money and willing to buy it, go ahead, this is just a greedy, money-loving, jewel hoardingsmuggler talking.

Lastly, going up the TKM skill line was a last resort. I didn't realy want to become an unarmed combatant. And I plan on dropping down to 4004 TKA (granted that everything is fixed and I can work without getting into melee). I still want to keep the meditative skill and some of the defence querks that I would get from TKA, but I plan on going black to the weapon I love best: the pistol.

I think you didn't read my post very carefully, I never said you need skill tapes to be a good fighter, I neither have skill tapes nor a DE-10 nor one of these ugly expensive stun pistols and still use pistol on some occasions quite effective but that's not what I'm talking about, I have 4 mios but I'm not spending millions from I don't know how many kills to buy one gun. With "really" effective I mean just as effective as a TKM, a Rifleman or some other Elite Profession that's not bugged and if you want to tell me now that you are just as good without skill tapes, skills in BH and the expensive pistols as those are, then I have to say I just don't believe you! A TKM gets master, buys himself a knuckler for... what is the price right now... 10k... 15k... and starts knocking out what comes in his way. A Rifleman buys himself a nice big gun for what... 20k?... 50k?... and same scenario as above. Now... how much do we have to spent to be as effective? Not a flame answer, just want to let you know to read my post more carefully next time.

I pvp with pistoleer- I am a triple master but I only use TK on a rifleman or another TK- but then again I have +88 speed (SEA's) and a 456 dmg geno and a krayt DX2, so maybe it's just the equipment
