I got screwed ONCE by a dude refusing to pay. These days, I almost hope someone won't pay! Then I get their loot and a good story! Seriously, though you shouldn't feel bad. You did the best thing in that situation.

the only time i ever kept anything of someone elses was this one time that this dude insisted that i was screwing him over by slicing speed rather than damage and started spamming about it in coronet. i explained to him that i didnt get to choose and i told him that he needed to pay me 5k (thats not a whole lot next to the price of his krayt scatter pistol) if he wanted his gun back. upon his refusal to pay, i kept his gun. looking back im not too proud of it...but i just hate being told what i can and can not do by other people. i would have been more than happy to slice it, get my 5k and move on but i guess a 35%+ speed slice just isnt good enough for some people /shrug.

Doesnt it say right in the terms of service that you cant steal people's weapons when they trade them to you to have sliced? I believe the smuggler example is even used.

Definitely not advocating this, but I'm pretty sure the TOS says that if you trade, you're taking a risk and the csr's won't do anything about it.

Try going to your local auto-shop, having your transmission replaced and then refuse to pay. See what happens.

Please, please, please don't compare smugglers to used car sales people or autorepair shops

"Heeeeeey.. I think that DX2 of yours needs some elbow-grease. And maybe some blinker fluid too, while we're at it. Much more wear and it would've fallen apart, but I think I can take care of ya for oh.. 50k."

CSRs warned last year, I believe their words were this: "Trade something of value as collateral"
Lol, if someone who wants a slice thinks I'm gonna give them a Krayt Pistol to hold while I slice theirs they're smoking crack
.
