Thread: Xtra! Xtra! Read all about it! Jedi Use FD in PvP again!
Reread post, didnt see that first time around. My bad. And yes i agree thats a shameful act. I apologize if i came off the wrong way. FD probably get nerfed for that crap. Like smugglers need more issues atm

I may be wrong, but I think that the issue is that the Jedi are using FD during a fight with a MOB in order to go into a feign state before the BH even initiates combat, thus making it impossible for the BH to engage their mark. That really does look like they're abusing a game mechanic - I really don't think that it was meant to work that way.
If, on the other hand, they're using FD in battle with a BH and it they succesfully feign (a low chance unless they're a master) then all's fair. As has been said, they'll have a minor chance of getting it to work and it would probably make more sense for them to pick up concussion shot and use that to escape.
If they are abusing a system, though, I really don't care how much XP they have to lose. There are plenty of players who have been playing for over a year and who have never used any (of the many, at times) exploits to get ahead.
And on the off chance they ever start giving BH/Smuggler missions, watch out ya Fett wannabies /cackle

Simple solutions, allow combat to start over once the Bounty Hunter arrives, or give Bounty Hunters an /inspectcorpse command, which would allow them to see if the corpse is really dead or someone who's feigning.

Stop trying to change Smuggler. Come up with a solution to mitigate the BH vs Jedi whine-fest.
not forgetting to give Master Smugglers a greater % chance to being found out, irrelevant now yes, but perhaps not in the future.
If the guys feigns, he choose to be weak because smuggler tree give crap defenses.
If the guy just feign in front of you, you can still wait for him to come back up.
The only good solution is to give a way to BH to break FD for their marks only. Not moving a skill to master....
I personnaly never had any issues with FD.... Maybe because i only hunt >180k marks.
I thought bomb droids could/would bring you out of FD? Also when I was playing with FD on TCEP3 during CU testing in one of the big battles outside of AH I had FD and someone brought me out of it using some kind of healing skill if I remember. I was in the heat of battle so I'm not sure what they did to bring me out of FD.

So if the chance of failling is that great at Master, imagine when you are a dabbler. And with that small a chance of success + a few states that prevent it + maybe a move that break it (or even witout it), it is NOT at all the "automatic 'I win' button" we heard so much about in the past. If despite all that FD succeed, well the gamble paid off, good for the feigner.
That's in answer to the recent posts. The original topic is another issue. The "letting a mob hit you so you can FD and prevent the BH to attack you" trick is exploiting a game mechanic if you ask me.

Eh if a Jedi FD's on me when I'm out hunting him on my BH. I'll just stay there till he either gets up again. Or I have to log off for the night. I've been known to quite happily stand outside a single jedi's house for hours at a time. Afterall it all depends on the type of BH you are. If your in it for the money. It's bad sense. But i'm in it to screw up the jedi's grind one way or another. (I only target imperial jedi as my BH is a rebel). Afterall the imps screw up the grinds for my felllow rebel jedi. So I do what I can to put the hurt equally on the imperial jedi. Which isnt really easy on Bria.
I mean while it's 'cheap' for a jedi to FD to avoid having to fight a BH.... Ehh... Alot of those whining BH's are just as cheap. And god knows i've pulled some cheap stunts on jedi before too to kill them. I'm personally against nerfing FD for smugglers. Or even moving it up to the master box. Its a big help when your grinding out a smuggler template. Lord knows it saved me quite a few trips to the cloner when out grinding out my smuggler toon.
I don't see where there is a problem. So they took the FD skill, let em use it. It no longer works the way it used to. In my limited testing, I as a Master Smuggler, fail a FD attempt ~60% of the time. I assume it has an even lower success rate at lower levels.
And if they fail...they are left prone. Just whack the snot out of them while they are on the ground.
