Again, if the player is speedcapped, its thier own damn fault. Any slice you don't fail on is an improvement to the weapon, and if that player can't recognize it, complains because it wasn't a high percentage/the stat of thier choosing, or they refuse to pay. I'd say give them one chance to pay at the regular price. If they still refuse, keep it, sell it for what you'd pay for it if you were looking to buy such a weapon, or even destroy it.

weren't we forced to grind through smuggler, only to be confronted by schmucks who want us to slice for free, and even then complain?

lol very funny seirously though i dont wear my master tag 99% of the time because advertising im a smuggler seems anti smuggler to me. Instead i wear my master commando tag, however people know of me as a smuggler and see i have the badge and thus ask me for slicing. Whether I want to or not is upto me. Thats what most people dont seem to comprehend. If i choose to do a slice for them im doing them a favour. I dont have to do squat for them. but do they thank me for it? mostly no.

All I can add is a lot of speed cappedpeople are going to get a nasty shock when the CU comes and 'nurfs' there speed.... I mean it's outrageous I can't speed cap my 7.5 second rifle with every special in the book....

had a guy meet me in coronet to slice 5 gaderiffi batons.
it's unbelieveable, but i had 5 speedslices.....
good thing he was working on grinding 1-handed, and wasn't speed-capped yet

and as long as he paid the slice-price

had a guy tip me 1k because it wasn't a very good slice one day (27% speed slice on a rifle). I gave him back his 1k and told him to buy a clue.

Eh, the only time a speed slice is crazy is this. I sliced a crateful of Vks for a weaponsmith friend of mine, The price for him was I wanted the pick of 2 of them. Out of 25 Vks, 5 got damage slices, 3 were 18%-20%, 1 was 29% damage and the other was 30% damage. My best slice was 35% speed dropping one to 1.4 speed.
I kept the 30% damage for myself and the 35% speed for my alt, who will be grinding TK.
Ugh, 5 out of 25, thats crap. But I guess it's balanced by the 5 straight days of pretty good damage slices and good encum slices I'd done. Oh, before the Vks, I sliced 3 Power Hammers, got 18% speed, 18% speed, and 28%....wait for it......SPEED

If anyone says a word about getting a 30%+ speed slice, just tell them you've heard that[their profession] is going to have their speed seriously reduced in the CU, so the weapon will be be really valuable post CU.

Always keep the master tags on as im proud of my profession. Wont comercialy slice anymore though,not because of ignorant customers,simply because i cant be arsed to
Slice for myself,my guild and my city.Want a slice of me move into my city i only need 12 more residents to become a metropolis!

I had an even worse slice incident last night. A speed capped rifleman actually "complained" that I got a 33% damage slice. Wouldn't listen to me that the "45%" cap is for armor enc. Evidently he knows more about slicing than I do.
I just try and not let the noobs get under my skin. But, how does someone who knows about speed capping not kow about slicing?

i must say, on Eclipse aat least, i dont get as many "uneducated" people whenever i slice. guess i'm just lucky
