Ok I was wondering if I could sell faction bases, turrets, etc? That way I could switch back and fourth from imp to reb just to sell bases.

Ah well...the macro is a thing of the past now Zazo...so stop your complainin, and get back to work!!

You can still use the macro to buy your points...and it only takes about 3 minutes to fully charge up to 60k from 200...makes it very handy...

what is a normal FP price? cause i buy 20k for 250 FP imperial. That is 80 credits for each FP.

As colonel is can trasfer them as 1:1.18 = 80:95. So its costs me 95 credits to give someone 1 FP imperial

people want me to sell for 100credits/1FP .. but i think that is really to low... what is a fair price? what is your price?

and another non-related topic question:

as an colonel imperial. Can i buy rebel points? what do i need to do? and if i switch sites, will this affect my colonel's rank when going back to imperial?

thx

The fair price is whatever you wanna charge that both your cost and allows you a profit. I wouldn't sell for 100 credits per point unless I was going to get something worthwhile in return. Even with the current point cap removed, a five credit profit per point is a waste of time, in my oppinion.

I had already a big faction business.... But had to wait for a friend to be online to make the deals.... (to buy stuff at lower price)

I lowered my prices and yesterday night, I ran around the recruiter for around 4 hours, delegating, and buying stuffs....
around 60k FP delegated, 12 turrets, 2 ST armors, and some other things restocked....

5 tells at a time to give prices is not easy...
Having 3 customers waiting for their faction points isn't easy either ^^ Including current rebels that didn't got neutral first and that were still rebel pilots (this one took time ^^)

But the good point is that i don't spend 5 minuts to buy/deleguate FP anymore..... I buy Faction points i need to deleguate and give it to my customers right after they payed (30k is the biggest amount i've deleguated in a row yesterday)

Faction sale boom? Not really.... But since it's faster and easier, maybe...

Same here. I charge 95 credits per faction point for close friends only....

You are the dealer, you say the price...

I sell FP at 120 credits per FP right now. Someone tried to discuss the price... and said the dirty word : "discuss the price".... then i remembered i was a smuggler.... and beggining to increase my prices as he was asking less...
We finished the deal at my first price

Market tip : always tell your customer you're making a special discount since you're in a happy mood.... Customers are always happy to have discounts.... Ot little gifts (i sell packed ST suits with some random gifts, and i sell more since there is the gift ^^)

And no, as an impérial, you can't buy rebel faction points : recruiter won't let you talk to him until you get neutral
And you'll need to get rebel in order to be able to buy faction points...

How the crap do you transfer faction. I have been smuggler for over a year and until now havn't really seen the need for faction selling...how however...

Yea, so my n00bn3ss is exposed. Anyone care to answer?

There's a link in the "Important Links" sticky that covers it...

Have you ever sat back on wondered how many of your 4004 posts (btw - Congrats on 4K) are messages saying "Read the Stickies" Or would the thought of the answer just depress you terribly?

It is terribly depressing...

What's even more depressing is the fact that I had hoped to make a nice "Mr. 4000!" post or something...but I think I passed up my 4000th post with a "Read the stickies" response...

/sigh

How is that putting you out of business?

His prices are pretty much in line with what I run on Starsider...looks like about a 40% markup...

What sort of pricing are you using that this is such a bad thing?

Ok..skip my post above...I just looked at his ST armor prices...which ARE in line with my prices...

He's seriously undercutting on his installation prices though...hardly making any profit at all on them...

He's selling bases for my guild rate...

I'm not sure how it is now, but when I started selling points I sold them for 120cpp, for over a year up until I quit playing regularly for a couple of months. Partly just to make it worth the time to buy them 125 at a time with that stupid cap (I'm glad to see they removed finally) but also because at 120cpp it made the math a lot simpler, basically 15,000 credits per 125 bought, so basically they payed 15,000 for 102 - 103 points, so that was the going rate for quite awhile. Of course having to have 2 master smugglers in order to get say a full suit of ST armor was a pain, and if they wanted to just get it themselves, the cash is well worth the time it takes to go and grind up the points themselves.
