Thread: Has anyone looted a fine tuned kit yet?

I am totally against looting as a single means of obtaining slicing components.

Please include obtaining slicing components as payoffs for smuggler missions, as "skimmed" from smuggler cargo, as loot, as bonuses from smuggling contracts, as trade from NPCs (Jabba, etc.)

Having ONE way to obtain slicing components is very bad.

the rates suck... and no one has found a reliable source for simple toolkits left (which is my biggies rate issue, conversion aside, that stuff will run out)

but things drop... got another part myself.. Reactive Micro Plating off a t5 imp gunboat in kessel

I agree. Actually one way that I thought of when you said "skimmed" is to have a random pop for AS and WS crafting. Like the Firespray parts do when SW RE ship loot. That would be pretty neat, and make sense. The WS uses his materials and finds he doesn'tneed the delicate trigger he made, and opts for a more basic one instead. Well, now he can sell that trigger on the black market to a smuggler who can use it to illegally modify a gun.

I'd like it, and I hate crafting .

I find the idea interesting, but it isn't really that similar to the KSE schems. KSE disks are used by SWs *and* found by SWs. So they can be totally self-sufficient in this regard. WS/ASs might be a dubious source, since most of their work is done by factory anyway. Unless the factory would randomly churn out extra parts? This probably wouldn't work with the existing reverse-engineering code.

I looted a regular toolkit and a power motivator from magseal chests in one of my favourite low level farming places. While I was there I also got a double-bladed LS speed +3 CA. Was a nice loot run for only an hours time.

I LOVE this idea. I wouldn't mind if they kept the drop rates low as hell to other players... as long as they were available through smuggling missions. Muahahahahaahaaaaaaaaa!!!!

I can't find any tool kit. Spent the last 2 days hunting Mercs on Lok, Rebels and opening tons of locked containers. Not ONE drop.
