Just spam the hell outta em. So that 95% of all questions are Smuggler related. Annoy is right, DoS that b**ch with Smuggler questions.

You know, back in the day when Ultima Online first started doing these Stratics Dev Chats, they had HUGE crowds. People looked forward to them.

And do you know why? Because they ALWAYS revealed somethingNEW about UPCOMING features!

Even the chats I missed, I always read the entire logs as soon as I could, because I knew there would be at least one juicy tidbit of information in there.

Somewhere between then and now, other companies missed that memo. I've attended a few of the SWG Dev chats, and read the logs of many more. All you get are typical generic canned responses to questions we all know the answers to already. All you get are the same kind of answers you can find here on the Dev Tracker any day of the week. It's sad, really, because it's a great chance to directly interact with us, and they don't use it right.

So, to save you all some time, here is a sneak peek of tonight's SWG Dev Team Chat:

Tiggs: Welcome all! Thanks for coming! Tonight's topic is the upcoming expansion "The Trials of Obi-Wan", and new content, so please keep your questions on topic!

MaceWindoodoo: We're sikked about the expansion! What kind of kewl new Jedi rewards can we get??

Tiggs: Lots of great stuff for Jedi, including quests where you get to talk to Obi-Wans ghost, and a chance to get acrystal that makes your lightsaber a lava sword! It's totally sweet!

JedisRule: When will we see the new FRS? We've been waiting for it for weeks now! Weeks I tell you! We can't wait much longer!

ThunderHeart: The FRS has been completed and will be out to you Soon(tm). We're just waiting for LucasArts to approve it, since we have diverged even further from the existing storyline than ever before.

WesBelden: When can we expect some news on Smugglers ever Smuggling?

Tiggs: That has been pushed out to longer term implementation. We want to fix bugs first. But we love our smugglers, we even made it so slicing components stack!

HalfABrain: Wait, but if you're focusing on bugs, and not content, why are you pushing out a new expansion? Isn't that considered new content?

ThunderHeart: Yes! I mean, no! I mean uhhhh, just buy the expansion, it's going to be totally sweet! You can have a lava lightsaber!

TheOtherHalf: Does the expansion have stuff for non-Jedi to do?

Tiggs: It sure does! They can do the quest to get the lava crystal and then sell it to Jedi for millions of credits! It'll be totally sweet!

1 am mmmmmm ya know what i'm gonna be there. They have ALOT to answer for and damnit if it gets me banned i'll get those answers. All we need is one question.

Without saying that its soon(tm) or has been pushed back due to important bug fixes etc etc and barring any mumbo jumbo from LA i ask you this.....WHEN and HOW will we be Smuggling. You said yourselves your waiting for text to be written.....so....WHEN and HOW ?

thats it...thats all i want to know....When and How will we be smuggling. I'll be content with WHEN....any bs response and a torrent of english slang will come there way....

I am never one to say something will happen for sure, but there is a 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 percent chance that you will get a bs, corporate, pre-canned answer about your concern.

The only time they really faced us with honesty was when they said a smuggler revamp would never happen and that smuggling missions have been moved to an indeterminate period for implementation, which gives the very possibility that they will not be added while this game still has the development resources allocated to it that it does now.

I'm in right now, though I'm not hoping for much to come of it. One thing though: Is there a reason everyone who's joining has the same hostmask as me? Maybe because it's modded? Whaatever. I'll be there with many questions about smugglers (and Ithorians)
