I never looked inside. Told that up front and when I gave it back. I never got a complaint against me. I don't do them anymore though. Also I have found crystals all over. Tuskens in the desert, thugs in Entha random npc attacker out in the wild. They aren't really hard to come by. Same chance as finding a container I guess. I have about 12 different crystals and wouldn't rip some one off for one. Now a pearl.I would definatly be tempted. Good thing I never looked if there was ever a chance of something like that in there.

Speaking of force crystals, I went to Fort Tusken the other night, killed one Tusken commoner, and looted a yellow force crystal. Happiest moment in my SWG life.

But on topic, Ialways look inside the container to see if there's another container. It prevents morewasted time. I never knew people did the oldswitcheroo... I guess us criminalsreally can't be trusted, hehe. I don't do it, but I never realized that so many did.
