The only actual info was about the Jedi quests. While it was good to see what they were planning those non-answers are annoying. Though I study politics so I should be use to that. :-)
Though on the Village issue, it sounds like an intersting idea, though I can only imagine the lag and crowd that will be there on release. And I can only hope and pray that in order to complete a mission you don't have to compete with other people. It would seriously suck to have to camp a spawn with everyone on the server.
The missions devoted to crafters and others sounds appealing but has much risk. If, for example, in order to complete one you have to go make a suit of RIS armor we are screwed, especially all the non-AS crafters.
These are the kind of stupid ideas I fear will be part of this. Though now that I think about none of this matters because this is all for FS-Jedi, not unlocking FS. They really non-answered all those questions.
Lets just hope the interim fixes to things are worth while. Especially for the poor smugglers.

<Brannoc> *DeadlyBlue* What will the Smuggler Revamp Include? Anything that will involve...smuggling?
<Runesabre> GreenMarine (internal SWG designer) is leading up the charge with the Smuggler Revamp. He is currently taking a lot of feedback from the players from the Smuggler Forums as well as presenting a lot of "In Concept" ideas on the Smuggler Forum. I highly encourage you to visit the Smuggler Forum and be involved with the exciting proposed changes coming!

That's a great answer, maybe Runesabre doesn't know that we haven't seen GreenMarine for a few weeks?
And of course any word on the delay, we were supposed to be right after JtL, but now the combat balance is supposed to be right after JtL too... and the team is supposed to be regathered. if i'm as pessimistic as SOE lmead me to become, that would mean :
1. Smuggler revamp will occur sometimes between 2009 and 2012 after the New Jedi Order expansion (including a brand new special high end content theme park for Image Designers)
2. Greenmarine will be reassigned to work with his mates on some other features and then will be prommoted internally to become lead designer on a nex SOE game that would become the best MMO ever too.
After reading the announcement i was hoping that the dev chat would convince me not to hit the cancel button, it failed.
I had great moments in the game, very few due to the game itself, what was (and still will be i guess) great while this year was meeting fellow players and spending good moments together. I wish you good luck and lots of courage to wait until they decide to have both an acceptable commercial behaviour and a workable game. I may come back around next year to see if we have gotten any love.

There is a million pages of feedback on these forums and somehow the devs manage to not "get it" over and over and over....
I think I'll have to go ID now to take advantage of the new themepark.

Joras, it's like I said to TH at Fan Fest:
"Kurt, I know you guys are just going to delete us on Christmas day..the only thing you guys are working on for smuggler is a huge red button that will just delete our profession and fix the game so it's like we never existed."

Does anyone else think the secret to getting anything done for this profession revolves around sending Hayden a few cases of Absolute or Grey Goose?

"Will we ever have the ability to have casinos in Player Cities? Our town on Flurry called Mos Vegas sure could use that. Perhaps Master Politician could allow that, considering currently there is no reason to become one.
<Haden> That's something that we really want to do, but we just haven't had the opportunity for it yet. It will probably be part of a future expansion."
That would be cool, no?
Man, playing a smuggler a year from now will be cool. Right, guys? Right!?

That's exactly what I posted here a year ago. I don't know whether that makes me want to laugh or cry.

Look at this question by Deceit and then the Answer by Runesaber....what a joke
Now unless the answer was directed toward's another question.....
<Brannoc> *Deceit* Being able to hit mind is probably the biggest incentive on what professions to take in pvp. What plans are there to change this and how soon would we see them?
<Runesabre> Publish 10 is strictly focused on the unlocking force sensitivity of your character. It's a very exciting, large amount of content that we will be sharing the details of in the "In Concept" forum soon.
