Oh, and.... i'll let you guys/girls know this... I have always held the dream of going to Endor and burning Ewoks alive with a flamethrower. It is deep inside of me, and one day... before I leave SWG I WILL do this.

ROFL I think that kind of is the true meaning of Galaxies. Burning Ewoks alive. Although no one has been listening to my idea for a mount, that's like a chariot pulled by a team of ewoks, and you can whip them to go faster. Or just ride of the shoulders of an ewok. And I've been suggesting that since I first got to Endor, round about 430 days ago.

I should add this is all being planned for Before the CU. I'm hopeful for the CU, and think it ought to really be the best thing for galaxies. But it's going to make mastering professions more difficult (as it should) and so I figure, I might as well experiment now, while it's still more possible. And hell, the way I see it, after the CU, Smuggler/Commando might just be the profession I want to be. It's certainly not too common, and well, can't you see a smuggler throwin grenades?

I don't even remember what skills I had...it wasn't much though. And one night a buddy of mine says: "Hey, we're going to Endor."

And this was in the days when you had to run missions for like 2 days just to get enough credits to buy a one-way ticket to Endor, so my bank account was looking very good...but I said..."Ok." This was also before Comp armor and uber Doc buffs...

So, I'm like the first one to get there...and I take some missions. Everyone else is still stuck waiting on shuttles and such to get there, so I tell them I'm gonna head out to my first mission and set up a camp.

I stepped out of the Outpost, and started checking things out...and the first thing I run across was some of those little cat creatures...kinda like the Kimas you find on Talus. And, I ran around and kited one of those things for about 15 minutes...this was before they fixed the speed on them.

Then I started running toward my mission...and EVERYTHING I saw conned as "INSTANT DEATH" to me. After several close calls and a burst run, I finally arrived.

My friends, two of which I was voice chatting with over Yahoo, finally arrived and started in my direction. And that's when the hilarity began. I listened to them both die...twice...and several other members of the group died as well...just trying to run to my location. Finally, we all just ran to the Ewok village instead of trying to kill my missions. We got there and one of the group members was like "Hey, lets shoot one!"...

My response was..."You go ahead, I'll sit and watch you die." Considering there were probably 30-40 Ewoks roaming around, all conning "Instant Death", I didn't think it would be wise to upset them...especially considering nobody in the group had made any sort of elite mastery yet...

Then we headed back to the Outpost...with several members dying along the way. I made it back, and my friend I was chatting with on Yahoo says "Hey Drev, duel me." And like a dummy, I dueled him...and he DBs me...then he says "You're the only one who hadn't died yet...and I just couldn't let that go."

I was also the lowest level player in the entire group...so I found that kind of funny...

Anyway...this concludes my rambling thread hijack...now back to your regularly scheduled topic...

And I am only "I got a Dead-Eye Decoder"-old, you are ancient.

We couldn't play SWG without Tiggs. Now we can =)

Yea, before buffs, I won't say before comp armor, but very few people had it, and it wasn't the level it is now, I went to Endor with about 10k in my wallet, a scout blaster, a spraystick, and a laser carbine. I mastered marksman on endor, buffless, witha group of 20, and when I finally returned to Tatooine, I had 50k, and felt like the richest man on earth. We walked all the way to the north of the planet looking for the mythical Gorax. Our group of 20, some had even made it to Teras Kasi Artist, ran in terror at the sight of Hanadaks, and Death's head mereks. It was some of the best experiences I've had in this game, and I hope the CU brings that back.

This is the most disturbing thing I haveEVER read.

I feel the one, CRITICAL thing left out of galaxies is the animation for a person on fire. The other thing is the tendency of animals/NPCs to run around ina panic while on fire also. Just seeing Ewoks actually burning and running around screaming till they collapse as a smoldering ball of stink, and to be able to see that any time I want is well worth the subscription fee of this game. Oh... that and Gunguns.

Yes, I'm a sick man, but I'm prescribing the best medicine we need!

Yea, I've had good times on Endor too. Me and a friend fighting for our survival. Can you believe we actually used spices to stay alive?????

I'm not kidding. I was the only one with medical skills at the time, so I had to take muon to ensure we would survive fights..... 10 minutes at a time. We timed that stuff too. The day we figured out that buffs were something that could be obtained changed it all. The arduous challenge was gone. Those were good times.

Now I just run missions for dough. Run up to a Janta statue, shoot it till it explodes then move on... isn't suppressing primitive cultures in the name of profit fun? Go unchecked capitalistic imperialism!

Wouldn't worse template ever be something like Master Smuggler, Master Squad Leader, Master Politician? Throw in any combat profession or actual crafting one and you could actually be useful for something. If you have any points left overRanger is the place to put them.

How about Novice Arch, Novice AS, Novice Dancer, Novice Musician, Novice Rifleman, Novice SL, Novice Tailor, Novice WS.

This leaves 10 sp left to spend in rifles. That's a lot of stuff to be not very good at.
