Yet another reason for me to wait to buy ROTW.
You guys can say and do what you want. I'm not buying the expansion until 2 weeks after our revamp. Why? Because it's crap like this that gives me one more reason NOT to give them any more money than I have to to keep playing.
The biggest load of crap about all this? What happened to anyone who purchased the game was able to play prior to EP 3 release. Now it would seem that anyone who preorders this game will get it and everyone else will be SOL.
OK, I really could go on and on for hours pointing stuff out, but I've got better things to do.

But look how old EQ1 is. JTL is still a very recent release, way too recent to be giving it away free. A much better solution would be to give a $5-10 discount on the new expansion if you already have JTL.

Yep, like it or not - this is a standard marketing procedure with MMORPG companies. As the game grows, and more expansions are released, they begin boxing the original game and expansions for discounted prices. This is how they lure new players into the game. Otherwise, someone coming in at a later stage would have an enormous investment right off the bat. That would scare off a large number of potential customers and hinder the game in the long run.

Yes it sucks for us but you guys fail to see that this is a business. They need to drive membership it's that simple and the best way to do that has been proven time and time and time again, include expanssions in a "deluxe" game set. Why is this a suprise to anyone?? Toy/game companies have been doing this for like 50 years, it's not SOE its not LA and it's nothing new,it's corporate life....

And agree as well. I was somewhat irritated by this as well. I was a JtL whore and preordered and payed extra shipping blah blah blah. I understand it though. JtL was the uber sh1t then. Now it is old school and RotW is teh L33t. It is standard practice...par for the course...to be expected...ad infinitim.

Yeah, got all that, but like I said before, expansions are not usually this close together, that's what makes this not so palatable.

Yes, it is rather inconsiderate of them, i know people who have only recently brought JTL, and now to access everything they have to buy it again, proberly before they have even completed it

I believe the reasoning behind this is that JTL will be REQUIRED for RotW. I could be incorrect, but I think I read that somewhere. They are supposedly releasing a SWG Core/JTL Combo box to sell when RotW hits RL shelves as well, so the chances of someone NOT having JTL are minimized.
At any rate, I still agree with the sentiment that those who have JTL already deserve either a discount or some kind of compensation on the Digital Download.
