I think the main reason for the poor turnout was Tiggs' post on the forums saying they would only talk about RoW.

They try too hard to keep things on one topic, and then on top of it, the questions are moderated. They really need to start doing these Chats as an open forum where anything can be asked. If they did that, they might see more interest in it again.

Wish I would have remembered it was happeningsince I'm still wondering why the only "Smuggling" mission in RoW is open to all players meanwhile the Smuggler mission is a stupid destroy/retrieve mission.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Because that's not the idea behind SWG. If you want to be an Uber 1337 d00d with your overpowered loot, go play Everquest or WOW. What should have been done is for the quest to give out schematics. Then the shipwrights would be involved.

There's nothing wrong with awesome loot in this game as long as it goes through the crafters at some point (like schematics, or enhancers like krayt tissues).

Unless you're a jedi, then you can be as overpowered as you want

This game is supposed to be set 1 year after A New Hope. Episode 3 is supposed to be set around 16 years prior to A New Hope. That means the ROTW "epsiode 3" like the Grievus and Jedi starfighters are both over 16 years old in design. That should make them technologicaly inferior to even the Y-Wing.

As it stands, the A-Wing is supposed to be the most manoueverable and fastest of any fighter ever created. That was why the Empire feared it so much because they simply had nothing to compete with it. As an Imperial playerI HATE A-Wings with a pasion but I would much prefer to be going up against a wing of A-Wings than a wing of Jedi Starfighter. Not because the JSF is currently rediculously out-powering every fighter in the game (though that is obviously a factor too) but because I pay £10 a month to play a game set between ANH and ESB. I DO NOT pay to play Epsiode 3 Jedi Wars.

Now I do currently own a JSF and do enjoy flying it. But that is merely because of how rediculously underpowered the Imperial ships are compared to Rebel fighters.

Fix cannon ships and stop adding crappy new trilogy stuff.

Well to bury an old argument ive been imp master and reb master and the sides are very evenly balanced.

Awing = TIE Int

Xwing = Oppressor

Good components and skill is then what matters. I used to love my TIE int.

wow, i've been playing since beta 2 and finally i got the "go play another game" line for the first time

*sniff* i finally made it!

they're going to add more ships as time goes by, and tweaking older ships to balance, so what's wrong with the new entries being a little better (a LITTLE, it's not like they're ultra uber 1337, or however you kids spell it) untilt he next round of "balancing" comes by. it is an ever evolving game afterall.

when they add new ships, they will probably be a tad better too...untilt he next batch, and so on and so on.

eventually, there will be a real diversity, ships from all movies, the EU, WEG, etc.

I look at my grevious as a toy to trick out with uber RE stuff. It's fast, it's nimble, it's sleek. But I enjoy flying my krayt more. I know I'm a flying barn, but really, there's nobody in space to shoot me down anyways. I had to drop my heavy scyke for it and I've got mixed feelings about which of the two to use.
