yeah the tougher crackdown is definity good...a line from an old movie says it best...

great movie! but hearing it called an"old movie" makes me feel old
sorry man not my intent ...all i know is paul and robert actualy look good in that movie and thats saying alot as i dont swing that way..hehe

I used several switching back and forth as Pups experied. 2 DE-10, 2 DX2 one Modified Republic and A Geo
as I ducked behind a building or factory I would switch and used /ex to keep tabs on resistance it was not the same for every type of goon trooper out there. I also used Intimdate ALOT if I did not they beat me down fast.
If I had to pick just one pistol it would have been my trusty DE-10 the famed smith miqbo made for me (got a great slice on it 
) but if that was not an option I would go with a DX2 acid was on average the lowest resisted attack. With their medium (or higher) the GEO just did not have the punch I was looking for. The republic I just used to keep them bleeding.

Hunting on Yavin's gotten much scarier since about 4 or 5 squads of these guys are just always hanging out waiting for you to do an AOE and get an accidental tef...
