Thread: Devs decide to remove Smugglers.

I think I might know the real reason that got rid of jabba. If you'll kill factioned npcs like jabba or valarian (not GCW faction, but other faction NPCs), you'll notice that the+/- faction for killing certain NPC's is broken. So instead of just taking extra time to fix the bugs with the factions system, they just took out the only themepark that depended on them right now. They already have valarian'squests turned off, so they didn't have to remove the lucky despot as well.
What they didn't take into account is not only did they make themselves look incredibly stupid by this stunt, they also broke all smuggler's alliance pilots that hadn't already completed the missions from the guy in Jabba's throne room.
Sometimes I wonder if SOE is *trying* to kill off this game so they don't have to fix it the right way.
Who would mourn for a dev?

I want to know, how in gods name did they move him? O_o
Very, very carefully... I understand they're still searching for one of the Devs that collapsed and was engulfed by Jabba's blubber.
The Memorial Service is pending...

I went there and tried to place a house named "Jabba's temporary palace, currently spraying for rats." But "Building is not permitted here."

In a shock move today crime Lord Jabba the Hut anounced he was moving his palace from the dune sea ofTatooineto the shores of Azeroth. When asked why this suden decision the hut was heard to say, "I'm fed up with the treatment that my smugglers have been getting. The Evil Empire (SOE) has stopped them from working for the past two years and we have had enough.
The palace was lasts seen leaving the orbit of Tatooine it's newly installed repulsorlifts glowing as it left the gravity well. A last transmission was recieved from the ex ruler of all Tatooine, the mighty Jabba, shortly before the palace jumped into hyper space.

anyone tried landing at Jabba's from Tat station?
I did... the landing part is there. The palace is just missing.

Poor Jabba...
When he gets back, I hope he feeds a couple of Devs to the rancor.
