I still only want a title that's fitting...'Master Masochist'

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Two years of "Soon"(TM), a harsh bunch of lies.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie"

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Well I've been a Master Smuggler for a few days and I have to say I'm loving it!

I've been in-game on the euro-servers since Nov 2003 and smuggler was probably on of the few professions I hadn't tried. Then a Master Weaponsmith friend of mine on Lowca lost his regular slicer and asked if I might have time to set up a secondary char to help him out.

I've trawled the smuggler forums and I've clearly not been doing it long enough to share the pain that many of you feel, but to me its a perfect dabblers prof - a little bit of crafting, combat, the obvious slicing, great RP potential and plenty of skill points left over to mess around with other profs. In other words, some fun! And the perfect antidote to a stable TKM/Doc template that I've had on my main char for over 10 months!

I'm sure that the gripes will get me down eventually - after so long scouring the universe for the best doc resources for my uber-buffs, its kind of weird to get to grips with the idea that any old sh*t will produce a molecular clamp of the same capability, and that my slicing result is then down to luck (a bit like the old-style doc buffs) but I think this is a profession I could grow to love. I'm already spending longer on Lowca than I ever expected!

I wish I could say that the fevered pitches (some would call them warcries) of "improve smuggler!" in this forum are the result of overeager kiddies looking to make one of theuber professions in the game even more out of whack (yeah, you-know-what).. but it isn't.

A lot of the pessimism around here is from vets that have held on to smuggler for many months. I held on to smuggler for about 6 months and then again for another3 months, and the vast negligence of the profession in the grand scale (which is probably a direct result of the slipshod PvP fixes, at least in my case) have easily worn on me.

At any rate, currently things are so bad that they can only really get better for smugglers...

...orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you'll find out that you've somehow unlocked jedi and that the rest of the game other than jediwould become pointless. Or at least that's what the devs were hoping.
