yay thanks. I was just about to reply to complain about the 1 star but no rebuttle to my argument. what you say makes sence too

as for the architect deal, I think their problems go deeper than what people are saying here. Their problem is that buildings are permanent. Eventually you reach saturation and sales drop off. If they'd take the maint. cost out and put a decay timer in (for say 2 months) till the building just poofed, I think that'd solve their issues. people would be up in arms about that tho.

my final attempt at a conversation. I'm curious most of all to see the divide between people wanting to solve a problem and artisans wanting more of the pie for themselves.

Are they pushing for this one again?

I would have been for giving artisians better terrain placement abilities based on the survey tree. So a survey 4 artisian could place the large harvesters with similar relaxed restrictions like houses now have.

Bio Es, Medics, Doctors, Smugglers, CM all need harvested resources too. Artisians seem to forget that there are more crafters in the game than the ones that spawn from their tree.

If i have to buy resources to make my molecular clamps i will cancel my subscription. That is a f*edit*ing retarded idea.

Why the hell would I need to learn a skill to PUSH A BUTTON TO TURN A MACHINE ON AND OFF?!!?!?!?!?!?!?

Oh! While we're at it, make it so only Armorsmiths can wear armor! Or only Weaponsmiths can use weapons! Or only Chefs use food and drinks... the list goes on...

Worst Idea Ever!

Why does it matter to the artisans that other people can harvest those resources quickly, when they themselves can do the same thing more efficiently (with better surveying skills) and still make plenty of their wares?

Even the devs acknowledge that non-combat characters are the wealthiest characters in the game...

I amtired of the solutions and proposals being put forth to deal with the problem of crafters getting inadequate business. Item decay was supposedly one such solution. Almost everyone hated it before, during and after release. We still do, along with the bugs that cause it to apply when it should not (PvP item decay bug for one) and yet the crafters still aren't happy? I guess item decay didn't give them more business after all, did it? And in the process it made a LOT of players mad.

Lesson to be learned: if almost all players hate an idea before it goes live, they will not like it when it goes live either. Let's learn from item decay, artisans, and have some foresight.

Hey, they want to limit everyone who isn't a crafter to personal harvesters, that's fine.

Take away all weapons certs from ANYONE with ANY artisan boxes. They just make 'em, they can't use 'em.

Make it so anyone with ANY artisan boxes can't wear armor.

And I'll be charging 100k per slice for anyone with ANY artisan boxes.

Morons.

Even though I am going to create a 2nd char with crafting skills including master artisan, while getting all my ressources myself, I still think this is a stupid idea.

I guess these artisans are so moronic they want a monopoly on the econmy? screw that.

If they do this, well...I just won't slice for Artisans... *shrug*

I won't have the materials to make the tools to slice their weapons, so screw 'em.

Yeah just read some of the threads there. Funny thing is most of the people are against it, but ya cannt tell who is a MA and who is not. All in all I think it is a retarded ideal since why should a MA get Heavies but non MAs crafters such as WS AS and Archs would get mediums. Why should a novice class outstrip a Elite class.
