Thread: Well, apparently it takes the force to be lucky.

hehe. Well, truth be told, additional money when I loot a corpse doesn't interest me so much as the defensive bonus' that have been played with...

But vehicle stuff... good golly gosh, that went in my list of things to get as soon as I saw that it was possible.

I have to agree, the extra loot money isn't exactly an eye catcher... I guess Jedi Luck and Smuggler Luck could be completely different. Extra loot for Jedi, smugglers get dodges or maybe a chance at a damage modifier.

Based on the overuse of alliteration, I refuse to believe this is an actual skill tree.

I think ‘luck’ might just be a badly termed phrase for the area that you were looking at Smuggler_Caylin.

All games have some type of randomness attached to them, perhaps they had no better term to use ?

I’m not a smuggler by the way, but was browsing here as it is going to be my next profession

Well I don't think I'd want THAT version of "luck" (finding more credits on corpses doesn't sound that great) but I wouldn't mind asking for some sort of Smuggler's Luck mod that could add to a variety of different things like Pistol Accuracy, Ship Piloting, Dodge, etc.

Smuggler luck needs to apply to everything. From the amount of credits we get, to the amount of damage we take, it should be just totally random at times.

Soando uses mindshot on you but you accidentally trip andthe shot misses....now that would be cool

The Jedi "luck" is proberly to do with Crystal, Krayt drops and other Saber type loots and not the kind of luck you Smugglers would need.

I see a problem with these skill trees as well. It was stated in the Jedi Archives that one must get 24 of these skill boxes to be able to become a Jedi. Along with that, it said that once one begins learning actual Jedi skills that you would have to begin revoking mundane skills to learn them (and it looks like the Jedi skills take lots of SP). Now, as a soon-to-be Triple Master, I will only have 3 Skill Points left (1 if I take Ranged Support I), and I know many others have pretty much maxed their SP. According to these skill trees, the Force Sensitive boxes all take 1 SP, so in order to complete the Force Sensitive quests, I would have to revoke 21-23 skill points worth of mundane skills. That's a full line and 3 boxes from another line of an Elite Combat Class's tree. Bummer.

EDIT: I just read on the Jedi boards, someone there also believes these trees to be incorrect in their SP (and maybe XP) cost. We'll just have to wait for somone to actually see them in-game to get to the truth of the matter.

EDIT #2: TH posted on the Jedi boards, "Keep in mind, not all of those trees were re-contructed properly." (typo left in for quote accuracy). Therefore, we will have to wait until someone sees them for real to be sure.

Might this be where the "pick your slices" is coming from? I hope it isn't, as I fail to see why a master smuggler needs the force to know how to slice..

Its simple the jedi's need luck to move up their skill tree's and we need the force, right? From what i remember from both the books and movies was; for example:Han used the force to hide in the falcon and escape detection and old Ben just got lucky when he shut the tractor beem off on the death star........right??

Yeah, I was gonna bring up the "Persuasive" thing. It appears that to be a smuggler, with luck and fast talkin', you gotta be force sensitive. Balls.
