Thread: Just finished reading one of the EU books the new rebellion

I look at the smuggler prof (I am only 0304 so far) and I dont see any of the romance of being a smuggler or excitement or even fun. I want to steal stuff and sell it, I want to haul cargo of illegal goods. I want to kick someone in the nuts and be able to run away if I need to. I want to go to smugglers run and play sabaac (spelling?) and maybe even make a credit or 2.
Basically I want the prof to be exciting and risky which it is totally not. how risky and underground is it to slice peoples armor and weapons? And whats the deal with faction points? From what I read smugglers didnt really side with anyone unless they had the almighty credit.
I guess my rant ends now not sure why I wrote it I doubt it will reach anyone who can actually make a difference.
This is just about exactly how I feel about the way a smuggler should live. This is it. This is the essence.

The Han Solo trilogy was great, and so was the Thrawn trilogy. I, Jedi is definately a good one as well. The Courtship of Princess Leia also was a very good read. But the very first EU books I ever read were the Young Jedi Knights books, they told stories of Jacen and Jaina (Han and Leia's twin kids) who were enrolled at Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy on Yavin 4. Personally, I have yet to read an EU book that I did not like, but I am also a very picky reader.

I have yet to read a EU book that isn't garbage IMO. They should just rename them "Star Wars: The Search for More Money"
