Which is why there is a V2 FAQ stickied above and you quoted from that FAQ. Spices are further down the thread. True the other thread with important links needs to be updated.

As for the other thing, no it doesn't spell it out that a tier 1 slice is the same for all levels of smuggler. It's pretty much assumed the info given implies this which everyone else seemed to get.

This explains what level of smuggler can do what
What can be Sliced?

Novice Smuggler:
# Locked containers.

Slicing I:

Then because there aren't different stats listed for what a slice does based on smuggler level you can deduce that it is the same regardless of smuggler level

Increase Attack Speed:

This slice increases the attack speed of a weapon.


Order Total Bonus Customisation Rating

1 2% +20%

2 4% +25%

3 7% +25%

4 12% +30%

Note: The 'Total Bonus' column is just that, the total bonus the weapon has; each bonus does not add on to the next one above it.

Thus a tier 1 slice gives 2% and 20% customization regardless of smuggler level, and is the only slice a novice smuggler can perform.

#1 No, I'd rather not go and act superior against the local tramp, whoever that is. But, instead of giving the tramp a Father's Day card, since whoever this is isn't my father, how about I give the local tramp a nice "Have a Good Day" card? Apparently, you didn't realize there are three seperate collumns there, I'll personally seperate them with Red Vertical Bars "|" so you can tell each collumn appart.

Now, the "Total Bonus" as you can see, which is different from the Customization Rating, is the "Total Bonus" to Damage, Speed, or Critical Chance that the weapon recieves. As is said in the note, the "Total Bonus" from one level to the next does not stack. That's why its called the "Total Bonus", because its the Total-Bonus recieved from slicing upon reaching that level.

Its like pressing down the accellerator in a car. The needle moving from twenty miles per hour to fourty miles per hour does not mean you are now traveling sixty miles per hour. It means you had to reach twenty miles per hour before you could reach fourty miles per hour. I do not know of a way to explain it any clearer than this.

Its not your fault Wes, its just that some dense people(such as this illustrious thread's originator) don't understand something unless its broken down to its most base components and explained ad nauseum.

To state for the record, to any who may be unaware, I didn't start posting in a way that was mocking this thread's originator untill he attempted to use a terrible excuse for insult against me.

To the thread originator: "Smartass" does not mean "Troll". It means anyone who quick to make a witty reply can mock someone/thing. It does not mean someone who flings insults.

Don't insult posters when they've tried to help you, and not expect them to deride you for it. If anyone here is a troll, it is you, not us.

I asked a simple question - and u said " go read the faq " - Ifu spent half the time helping people when they ask for advice than slandering and insulting and belittling them then u would have some benifit to this forum but as it is - the only one benifiting is u from ur twisted sence of humour or what ever drives u to be a complete unhelpful abusive character.

I wish forum addignor really worked.

In any case - if no one had answered my question - I found my answer on guild chat with no abuse whatsoever. I also tend to do my part by helping someone understand the game a bit more when they ask me. Smartass.

That can be hard to do, but we just can't get rid of the undesireables.

I am kinda dissapointed at the flamming you got. The smuggler community is usually very helpfull.

Buddy, I dunno where you get these ideas from. You asked for help, I said to go to the thread with "Smuggler FAQ" in the title, I made it big and underlined it so it would be easily recongizable.

You came back and said that the FAQ was out of date and unclear. I pointed out that the FAQ was as clear as crystal, you had just overlooked/misunderstood it, and provided a metaphor to explain how the Total Bonus was counted.

You then proceded pissy and tried to insult me. I then decided to mock your badly made insult.

This made you grasp at straws to search the deffinition "open to interpretation" in a move ment to draw attention from your ignorance, simultaniously calling me a troll. This didn't work for you, either, because I don't post in threads and lead people on just to get my kicks and tick people off. And looking at the fact you come flat out and start flaming not only me, but the Smuggler forum community in general made you look like the troll. This is why I said not to insult people who try to help you.

After this, you make several posts, one of which seems you let out as much pre-pubescent rage as you could muster(good job with the huge red text, by the way).

The next post of yours talks about me "poking holes in a perfectly legible piece of work", but you'd already made the statement(on the very same page, no less) that it was "out of date" and "doesn't answer my question specifically". Afterwards you tell me I should stop trying to find fault in others, and ask myself why in a thread that asks for help why I feel the need to be a smartass, and asking if I feel inadequate. I'm not trying to find fault in anyone, and being a smartass does not mean the same thing as being an ass. Those are two seperate terms. You're the one who seems to be "compensating" because you just can't seem to anger me, and you know it.

You then feel the need to mention that someone in your guild helped you, didn't abuse you like you accuse me of having done(especially considering what you have said to me...), and then insinuate that we Smugglers don't help people by holding your self up as a "shining example" saying "I also tend to do my part by helping someone understand the game a bit more when they ask me.".

Once again, I tried to help, with those first two posts. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, it may strike back.

Do you think you are better than I simply due to the fact I used "and" to begin a sentence; or using "incorrect" wording within my phrases? Neither of us are "better" than the other.
