The sad thing is that if you wait to get smuggler after the revamp you may be waiting a long time or at least just "Soon" for a long time.
And also who knows how much xp you will really get just doing smuggler missions, if and when they get here.

Sorry wasnt meaning to offend!I was noly curious given that if someone is already Master Smuggler, they probably wouldn't get xp for doing any of the new content, so would you feel like you've missed out?
Not getting xp for doing the content won't affect us old timers at all...just having content at all will simply make us drool all over our pie and into our beer...hell, I got two weeks of enjoyment when they put gaming tables into the game, even if they were useless and there was that whole why are smugglers making furniture thing...
but you should understand that we are so starved for content, that not getting xp for it won't even be noticed.
And the reality of the devs coming through with a promise alone will stun us all into mindless comas.

I'm a pre-CU MS and now, a Post CU 1/2/2/1 Smuggler, so I get to be both the grizzled old-timer and the wide-eyed newbie. I do admit that I did enjoy the Slicing and Spice trees better when they had actual pertinent xp requirements. Ah the days of begging to practise on Locked Containers outside of the starport!
Post CU is more of a drag simply because there's nothing to break up the routine of moving up the trees, but I do have the advantage of seeing what it's like for the new player with dreams of smuggling in his/her melon. It's kind of nice to have that perspective. Keeps me young.

You know, I really can't image what I'd do if i no longer had anything to wish for. I'm sure, I'd find something else to whne about - but I'd at least be so occupied that I wouldnt spend much time on the forums (except at work) and I'd be really happy being a smuggler.
That is all, resume your useless hopes.

Ahhhh, the good old days, buying crates of CDEF weapons and just grinding away. It was a great profession to generate income, I made a few million creds just slicing and then I just sat back and played for months and months not worrying about cash.
I recently respeced to MBH and it just felt wrong. I went back to the profession I earned the old fashion way MS.
I have not played in over a year but it looks like i got back just in time for some cool changes.
