Wow, posts about me being negative...

I guess you guys weren't around the last couple years.

I was just simply pointing out a couple things.

First, there's no reason to buy anything right when it comes out anymore because they drop the prices so quick these days that it will actually be a better financial move to wait a month. Hell, I'm not even sure TE has been out a month. I was actually just pointing out that fact to Cheat so he realises he can actually choose to get the Barc without paying extra money now.

Second, a lot of the people who have been Smugglers for a LONG time are getting sick of paying for new content when their two year old profession still doesn't have the content that it's supposed to have and has been promised for what seems like forever.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

With your statement that said that it's not worth $5 for 1 months worth of game play. What is worth 1 month of game play? I'm glad I paid that AUD $80 way back when so I could play JtL that much longer than someone who only bought RotW. If you wait long enough you could probably buy the game and have a monthly subscription of 10, maybe along way downt he track. The question is what is the price of your entertainment? I paid AUD $100 for Halo 2, that's less than 10 hours of gameplay, but it was worth every red cent.

I have been a smuggler in template and spirit for near a year now, and I am still able to look upon SWG with positive light. There have been some ups and downs, lately it's mostly up hill for combateers, the rest of the professions were left behind with the CU though unfortunately, which means it's one more step 'til we end up with crafters being similar to what it is in EQ2, that it has seperate SPs.

No offense man, but it still comes down to one point of view versus another. Positive or negative, we're both welcome to our opinions, and that was my second point.

The first really was to show Cheat that maybe now he'll be able to get something he wanted more from the little mix-up becuase apparently the situation surrounding these things have changed. (I know a lot of people who wanted the speeder more than the lizard.)

Later on in that post, I basicly pointed out that even with all that stuff pushed aside, the depriciation in one month can now be expected. In other words, buyer beware. I love the expansions. I would pre ordered JTL all over again even now with the knowledge of how it has been bundled. In hindsight though, I would have waited for Wookies.

In other words, it all comes down to opinion on how you want to spend your money. I do enjoy playing SWG, and I do enjoy, for the most part, the expansions. I will however exercise caution in the future on WHEN I choose to purchase them.

One other note on this. I have no problem with how long you been a Smuggler, in spirit, template, or otherwise. However, a lot of us who have been playing this incomplete profession since the beginning (I started playing 3 weeks after launch and went right for Smuggler) are approaching personal deadlines that we have set for Smuggler to receive attention. It wasn't intentional, but it seems a lot of us have that date coming up SOON. Becuase of that, and STILL a lack of profession development, a lot of us have a fundamental problem with how SOE does business. That is what came out in my statement about monthly fees becoming a bit too much.

One final thing I have to say on all of this. There is no problem with negativity being posted. The problem lies when people go off flaming each other or making irrational arguments. Cooler heads must prevail sometimes, but there is nothing wrong with someone having a differing opinion, even if it is negative.
